FruitsA Poem by Jerome F Knox III pseudonym Nefarious J. DorseySo much is missed when we over think things
Apples are not pears and
Oranges are not grapes But the weight of uncertainty Certainly has me bare As there is no fruit on My vine Maybe in time I will find The truth that will give me Roots So I can know what it Is like to bear fruit Still I bask in my own stupidity As my immaturity shows that I am inferior as I hide my Interior beneath an exterior That has weathered many Storms Although I am not a rose I have thorns to protect me From el oh vee e Still I have no fruit To bear because Apples are not pears and Oranges are not grapes Yet the weight of loving You is so damn hard that I want to give up, give up Give it all up cause I can't live up, live up To the expectations I am not processing the Information so the situation Is much more complex Than I expect so I suspect That your intellect Believes that leaves Are possible on my Tree if I believe I can achieve and Produce positive Fruits But this has Yet to compute Cause all I want You to do is to Jump in the sea With me So we both can Be free © 2015 Jerome F Knox III pseudonym Nefarious J.
