Black Lives Don't MatterA Poem by Jerome F Knox III pseudonym Nefarious J. Dorsey
Upon the wind the truth
Has been scattered Many dreams have been Shattered Why? Cause it seems to me That Black Lives Don't Matter Can't change the Color of my skin But it appears to Be a sin As we are under attack Cause we are black So let's examine the facts Trayvon is gone and Michael Brown is too As I knew that the view of the Department of Justice Is to consistently exonerate As we are the targets Of violence and hate As we wait, we hesitate Knowing we can't get Support from the court Thus it is no surprise Cause right before Your eyes Many black jurors Believe jury nullification Alleviates the situation While some believe The only viable solution Is revolution Still Families dreams have Been shattered Why? Because Black Lives Don't matter See, As a 60's baby maybe I am thinking it's best To picket and protest But the civil unrest Puts patience to the test But this quagmire Is why some take to The streets and set Things on fire Looting and shooting is Another reason for them To shoot and kill but still Upon the wind The truth is scattered Why? Cause Black Lives Don't Matter © 2015 Jerome F Knox III pseudonym Nefarious J. DorseyAuthor's Note
