Sticky Note 5

Sticky Note 5

A Poem by Jerome F Knox III pseudonym Nefarious J. Dorsey
"

Random notes from ICU

"
No ghouls
Wandering the halls
No finger prints
On the windows
But that thud
Of her skull
Hitting the cold
Highly polished
White floor
Bone never wins
Lights blaring
As I hear her
Whimpering
It sounded like
A bowling bowl
When she hit her head
It definitely was a strike
No spare, maybe
A 7-10 split?
Hit the reset button
Clean up her up
No need to let
Her roll in the gutter
Again
She's already there
Patch her up and
Get her ready for
The next frame

This is harsh, but the bowling metaphor use is fantastic!

Thanks so much Jamestown....
terrific metaphor here---

we are much like bowling pins...we get knocked down, we get back up..only to get knocked down again...
perhaps we should "strike"!
refuse to be beaten down again.
