Nature's Mink Coat

Nature's Mink Coat

A Poem by Jerome F Knox III pseudonym Nefarious J. Dorsey

Nature created
A white mink coat
For herself
That not even
PETA could complain
About
No animals were
Hurt while writing
This poem
True to form
Under a frozen
Moon
She danced
To her own
Tune
As an audience
Of stars
Were amazed
As they gazed
Upon her
In her mink coat
That was not
Made of fur
Nor touched
By human
Hands
So for now
She lays on the
Ground perfect
Until someone's
Pet
Ruins something
So perfect
All because he
Has to pee
Now the reality
Is that her beauty
Is now stained
Forever lost
Frozen under
Yellow frost and
Brown s**t
I have to admit
The dog ruined
It
As this hurts
Me so
That I will have to
Wait for the next
Snow
To see another
One grow
All because
Some pet
Got her coat
Wet
Staining us all
With regrets

I am not an animal lover so you could imagine my disdain when someone walked their dog out onto the untouched snow and the dog pissed and defecated on the snow and then left. It ruined such a beautiful scene.

LOL,
I do Love animals, yet I agree that it should be cleaned up.
I do feel sorry for the dog though.
My dog has his own huge yard.
Animals normally like cleanliness too.
My dog always goes on the outskirts of his yard
He knows better, But what is a dog to do without his own yard?
The owner should be as smart and clean.

I hope your Awesome poem helps others awaken with sensitivity toward others.

your quite welcome Rico
Well, before we had indoor plumbing we used to do that too, so I wouldn't be pissed at the animal just because God made them that way. There's always litter, though, but you have to walk your dog. I think you're over-exaggerating. We all live in one planet and we have to get along. Anyway, the poem was simple and easy to understand, and you delivered your point and opinion in a successful manner, so I applaud you for that. Thanks for sharing.

Rico, again I applaud your presentation as well as the wording. Freestyle hip-hop type writing is captivating. We live sort of on the edge of some woods and have lots of feral cats roaming around...you would definitely not like how they decorate the landscape (ha ha). Really great you found your voice...keep writing, here's to ya! take care...dan
