AbsorptionA Poem by Jerome F Knox III pseudonym Nefarious J. Dorsey
I became
Absorbed In emulation As infatuation Caused Frustration Causing Variations In my flow No longer Rico But a fraction Of a poet I use to know One I loved And adored Doesn't exist Anymore In the greatness Of Jacob His penned words I heard But I am not him Jennesis changed My beginnings Now the underpinnings Are different and new I grew but everyone Knew that my hues Came from you But my muse needs To be me That fallen leaf That's consistently Falls from the tree Of poetry With all of its splendor And beauty Is fully appreciated But it's not me That April Registered Nurse soothes the hurt As she marks on my Mind with her pen 1210 I am remembering From her, that this Needs to occur That I need to me Madison Rose's name Echoes my father's Pain but the rose I suppose minus The thorns Eases the moments I need to morn I am Resilient in my Brilliance Dan made me Understand the Complexities Of a being a man Moonskittles's pain Was very little I found a temporary Home in Jamestown So it seems I have Literal Art Dreams that are balanced On the extremes As Justin X and Rico X Put the fire in quagmires Neither could understand This, as we drifted through The Orange Mist In a slight daze from The Purple Haze His influence made Along The Watch Tower Give my conscience Power But all of these people Are not me but have Gotten absorbed in My poetry AND FINALLY Cryss my publicist Insist that I leave This So Miss Jones I am GOING to leave it Alone Rekindle my own Flow That lives in my Bones And makes up Rico © 2015 Jerome F Knox III pseudonym Nefarious J.
