A Dromedary's DespairA Poem by Jerome F Knox III pseudonym Nefarious J. DorseyAgain I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God." Matthews 19 verse 24 NIV One Finally Reluctantly Stubbornly Accepted The truth And confessed That he gouged Out the eyes Of the needle Because he Couldn't see How to get Through it Two The journey to heaven Came to a screeching halt Whose was at fault? The camel, the rich man, or gee oh dee? Three He was made to Look like a fool A life of regrets Sentenced Forever and ever To packs of Cigarettes Never realizing That Breaking the Rules Just wasn't Kool Three Point Five Now his new sin Is that he is The killer of men As they choke Beneath his smoke As they inhale Their lungs fail Their deaths Are now in His hand Understand that Because It's his brand And that he chose To be The spokesman It's was just Another reason The crime of Moral treason Got him sentenced to Roam the landUntil his own hourglass Runs out of sand Four Moses understood The dromedary's Despair Because he knew The view was not Enough Hr wanted and need To be there Five It has been said That the camels Of rich men Have been bred Just to prove God Wrong Is that why so Many are dead? Cause they won't Believe in what They have read Nor what the prophets Have said Five Point One Now every knows He's also The spokesman For Geico As he now hears In his ears Everyone say Do you know what What Wednesdays Are called? He shakes his head Wishes he was dead Cause he hates This "Hump Day" crap Most of all
