Egg ShellsA Poem by Jerome F Knox III pseudonym Nefarious J. DorseyI was trying to Keep my celibacy In tact, in fact Despite your fingers Running up and Down my back I cease to react But you saw the cracks You had no right to love me My shell may appeared To be hard But it was a facade A farce Inside the embryo Was and is still soft Childhood lost and taken Forsaken by the Same lie Love The same blanket God is part of? You had no right To chef up my Souls order Scrambling my Insecurities Serving my vulnerabilities Up to the slaughter You lied when you Said that your Yolk was easy But your burdens were Light Yeah right I told you I was Over easy But your blatant Disregard Is making it so hard See I could have been saved Possibly if you had served Me over hard Yet your deception Took me from the fryer To the frying pan With your hands You scrambled my Self worth like eggs Served with side of Contempt Masking the bullshit With sprinkles Of Splenda But that ain't real Sugar Fake like your Lies As you try to Justify them As I am served On the platter Again Why does this Keep happening? Maybe this the Pain that I deserve?
