Adjustable ConscienceA Poem by Jerome F Knox III pseudonym Nefarious J. DorseyFreeverse
I have waged war
In distant lands I have had so much Blood on my hands I have taken more Sheep to the slaughter Even in chaos I still maintain order Why? Because no matter Who dies Who cries Who lies Who am I ? Sigh I am the villian They send in To do the killing How do I feel They ask As I bask In the darkness See my Conscience Remains clear As I pray on the Fears of many See There isn't Any redemption For me or For the things I have done My actions Maybe Deployable but Waging war is enjoyable Only because My conscience Is adjustable I am not Responsible Or accountable Still I adjust My conscience At will That is how I Am able to kill © 2015 Jerome F Knox III pseudonym Nefarious J.
