Hem

Hem

A Poem by Jerome F Knox III pseudonym Nefarious J. Dorsey
"

this is a take on Revelations 3:20, Matthews 9:20 and Luke 2:1-7

"

She had her doubts

That everything would

Work itself out

Some say on that day

She realized the art

Of compromise

As the lies

And the moment of truth

Started in her youth

She had to admit

That she was

Too young to

Handle it

So on this day

She decided to

Run away

And abandon every thing

Cause she knows

That in order

For her to grow

She has to go through

The process

Of cleaning

Up her mess

So she goes online

Hoping to find

Some kind of deal

To help her heal

So she looks

At Groupon

And other coupons

But there are

No discounts

In any amount

For moving on

So she decides

To take the ride inside

Her heart. soul, and mind

Trying to find

A way out

While erasing

Her doubts

Only she knows

What this

Is all about

Like him there was

No room at the inn

Her story was about

To end just before it

Begins

She knew she was

In danger

Because there was

No manager

No Bethlehem

Thus far

She had no star

Shining

Up in the sky

She wanted to die

As she wondered why

The tears fell from

Her eyes

Her countenance

Was soaked

As she was losing

Hope

At that moment

The master walked

In the building

She reached out

To receive her healing

As her burdens

Drifted to the ceiling

The hurt and pain

Disappeared

Along with her fears

Her feeling of self-worth

Grew

Cause she knew

That one touch from

Him

That there was

Healing

From his hem

She could now

Forgive

All of them

And be

Totally free

The master

Turned around

And found her

Kneeling at the floor

He knew she needed more

So he came knocking

At her door

She let him in

Now a new story begins

Author's Note

Jerome F Knox III pseudonym Nefarious J. Dorsey
any suggestions or corrections are greatly appreciated. I am also trying out a different type of rhyme scheme in this case a homonymic rhyme scheme where I used him and hem and then blended it with the traditional end rhyme using them so you have him, hem and them connected togther

no coupons for moving on...no sales on self-improvement....
we just have to pay whatever price it will take, and then get ourselves together...and move on with confidence.

it is a process....there is no shortcut...

this is an introspective piece. well done.
