My Animal Side

The smell of blood catches my attention,
i sense death,
is it weird that it attracts me,
No,
it is only my animal side,
the side of me that no one else sees,
a side that no one else wants to see,
it is the side of me that i fight day in and day out to keep under control,
it is my animal side.
