The Valley by The Tree

The Valley by The Tree

A Poem by The lost boy
"

Poem on love and death.

"

It was long and many times ago,

In the valley by the tree,

That by the tree there lived a girl,

By the means to only be free,

And this girl she lived but with no other thought

Then to pass this life and to pass it with me,

She was a girl and I was a boy,

In the valley by the tree,

And we played day and night at this spot,

By the means to only be free,

It was a thought we gathered as we grew

For her to leave this life along with me,

One day we sat at that very spot,

In the valley by the tree,

We spoke and chose one day,

The day that would set us free,

So i wished her goodbye,

And wished her to only wait for me,

But these where thoughts that had now been passed,

In the valley by the tree,

Because her thoughts had grown darker and eerie,

Wanting nothing more than to be free,

So that one-day death came

Only to finally take her away from me,

This is where I can now be found,

In the valley by the tree,

My neck wrapped about a rope,

Only as a means to set myself free,

and as I hang upon this hope

With my beautiful I shall be,

It tells a story, and waxes a gloss on a very tragic circumstance. I'm not convinced the two belong together (the gloss and the tragedy, that is), but yeah: your poem tells a story.
