The Mutual Admiration Society

The Mutual Admiration Society

A Poem by Rikkevi Rue
"

who would we impress without each other! (Inspired by Poetic Justice)

"
lit
with an energetic bloom
of creative flair, doing dare, down-let hair
wit
that cascades down
rapunzels 'round
with no sound
yet not drowned!
spawns
in the sea of black think
as you blink
some primordial link,
boils your ink
genesis drink
never to parch-
meant to march
prop our flagging ideas
up like starch
on your collar...
but your caller
has more galler
than a holler!
as it echoes, and it let goes, boldly gecko's,
no conceit
ever slithers
never dithers
clever pither!
so eloquent riffer...
while cavorting, so rip-snorting, soul supporting
your endeavors and dreams...
edged in crimson
'long the lining
faintly shining
humbly pining
to be seen, but not heard, as just words
but much deeper...
deftly lurching
keen soul-searching
risk besmirching
in the hot bite, of a fraught night, in the spotlight
dressed
with the tension
subtle coy apprehension
just to mention
your invention
condescension
isn't part
of your emotional attire
your resilient aspire
or your ebullient fire
I so deeply admire!
carefree
laughter drifting
no praise grifting
you so artfully shifting
those compliments gifting
your esteem so uplifting
your esteem so uplifting!

the best and most wickedly delightful part of this is that it has "flavor" . . . .a rhythmic palpitation of the fruit of language popping like some mischevious pop rock, bursting with plum and rich mind seeds to root the imagination firmly to the cadence of the new amouze bouche of 21st century poetry~ the entire meal for the mind causes this specific rhythmic girl thing to grin and dare it deeper still . . . . ;)~ ahhh~ the exquisite variations on grammar, syntax and the bold undressing and refurbishing of rhyme . . . . applause!

witty, well constructed and unpredictable. the rhymes are whimsical and could be seen as a spoken word piece. brings to mind someone who has the exceptional ability to impress, who is humble and who is also inspiring for others. excellent job.

Love it. Has more caller than a holler. I'd need drugs to come up with something like this. Great title too. Can't find anything to be critical about. Sorry. This is an excellent read

I would give this a 10 out of 10!!!!! The flow is sublime, caught in double time, spot on meter, spot on rhyme, I'm drunk on sobriety, at your mutual admiration society!!

*lots of back patting* bravo.. :D
