the smile

A Story by Rikkevi Rue
"

just a sketch

"

"...the smile that rippled slowly off the edge of his mouth was languid from her perspective, as it grew slowly from just the slightest twinge tugging his crooked yet sensuous lips wider out into dimples on his cheeks and up to the finely lined wrinkles around his deep green eyes until they lit from within with a mischievous fire, like some untamed breed of feline from another planet or maybe an Irish leprechaun gamely eager to flaunt his wiles. The initial alarm of potential danger gripped her but then she relaxed, after all there were so few who really smiled like that these days, their whole being radiating a mirth that seemed to permeate right through her skin and into her inner feelings. The chuckle bubbling up from her own throat surprised her as she heard it almost as if it came from someone else, and her heart swelled that she had asked." rikkevi rue
