Hearts of trees

Hearts of trees

A Poem by Rikkevi Rue
"

Where musical aesthetics might really come from

"
Death of trees is sorrows dream
silent pillars of wisdom gathered
from roots perennial needy draught
to tip of earth-hairs fair locks
that lift her essence to the sky
and praise that vast azure bouquet
with a thousand shiny green tongues
that greedily drink the sun's brave light

Fallen, Nature's sentience passes
a thousand trees shed tear-like leaves
bequeathed, this broken body withers
surrender to mans vulgar schemes
life's glorious tower, but a log
no longer ligneous flesh and sinew
be torn asunder by teeth of steel
wind and light embrace no more

but grace arose from sacrifice, when
expression mined aesthetics ways
a creature rare upon two legs, to
artfully shape this reluctant offering
draw creation from this finest wood
a shrine to the body of arboreal strife
bring voice to the pulse of their sentient life
free the vibrant song long locked inside

deep are the echos harbored in
this vessel of rugged soaring height
captured in beautiful melodic sound
with dulcet strings of guts and steel
Nature's lilting voice comes alive:
the joy of a lute sings of leaves a-breeze
a guitar strums of the dancing branch
the voice of his heart could but a violin sing
sweet dulcimer to sound the dance
deep as his roots shall the bass notes ring
pianoforte sings of the forrest eves
and the harp to voice his dreams
with our ears we worship thee.

Loving this Rikke! You meet me in a scared place where nature and melody are created and the sap of the earth bleeds through to stick to the fingers and limbs of the creatures who take note or pass by spreading our thoughts and wisdom like half eaten seeds from the mouth of a squirrel.

You find the circle of life in every aspect and although sometimes painful sometimes to a stranger you complete the journey every time. Thank You for another brilliant piece of literature. there are so many writers concerned with having piles of poetry or extravagant libraries and books a hook but the best best blooms bloom strong and sweet and few and far between so that one lucky buggy bee can get fed nectar of the source.

This is great writing one day I will have the pleaser to be chaptered next to you...
