Hearts of treesA Poem by Rikkevi RueWhere musical aesthetics might really come fromDeath of trees is sorrows dream silent pillars of wisdom gathered from roots perennial needy draught to tip of earth-hairs fair locks that lift her essence to the sky and praise that vast azure bouquet with a thousand shiny green tongues that greedily drink the sun's brave light Fallen, Nature's sentience passes a thousand trees shed tear-like leaves bequeathed, this broken body withers surrender to mans vulgar schemes life's glorious tower, but a log no longer ligneous flesh and sinew be torn asunder by teeth of steel wind and light embrace no more but grace arose from sacrifice, when expression mined aesthetics ways a creature rare upon two legs, to artfully shape this reluctant offering draw creation from this finest wood a shrine to the body of arboreal strife bring voice to the pulse of their sentient life free the vibrant song long locked inside deep are the echos harbored in this vessel of rugged soaring height captured in beautiful melodic sound with dulcet strings of guts and steel Nature's lilting voice comes alive: the joy of a lute sings of leaves a-breeze a guitar strums of the dancing branch the voice of his heart could but a violin sing sweet dulcimer to sound the dance deep as his roots shall the bass notes ring pianoforte sings of the forrest eves and the harp to voice his dreams with our ears we worship thee. rikkevi rue copyright 2013 all rights reserved
