Lonely Walls

Lonely Walls

A Poem by RiciRhymes
"

When I was incarcerated for a year :X

"
These lonely walls
Have changed the way I feel
Only the same meal everyday
Sometimes I want to cry to kneel
I want to be more than a man in orange
I feel like an old toy put away in a storage
Being fed this daily pour-age
Being here makes me so sour
Life's too short to be wasting all these hours
These lonely walls won't stall
One day I'll watch my son ride the Carousel at the mall

there is no greater price than freedom, every time we commit a mistake it just shows how human we can be we learn from it and we try not to commit the same mistake again but we are not perfect. the beauty of the poem boils down to the realization that we are not perfect but we want to change for the better.
