Rainfall

Rainfall

A Poem by Passengerr

It's raining, raining, raining my unshed tears,
The Thunder is rumbling, rumbling, rumbling my supressed groans,
...And once in a while lightning flashes, illuminating the darkness, preaching hope.

I love when an author can get the point across in only a few words or lines. I always feel like I'm scrabbling to portray a clear meaning without excessive language and explanation. I wish I could create such an impact with so little words. I like your use of repetition and word choice. Great work!

Thank you so much Alondra.. Glad you see that way too.
A beautiful piece. The meaning is so profound. The first two verses are sad but it ends on a hopeful and optimistic note. This is one of the best pieces I've ever read. Though short, it conveys the entire story wonderfully. Keep up the good work! :)

Wow! Thank you Maddy Stillman.
3 times as much tribulation as there is glimmers of hope in this piece which pretty much reflects reality - its the 'lucky' person who can break even in terms of good and bad luck and the very rare person who has more good luck in this life.
But 3:1 Isnt a bad ratio.
Thought-stirring piece this one RS.
Thanks for sharing.
