Tarot-Karten

Tarot-Karten

A Poem by RickyLevick

Show me now/Display the tarot cards/Fund a passage/to the starting line

Show me how/my bitterness might come to an end/When I reach the starting line

Show me all/Bout love and hate/Show me what/you call home

Recite the cards/When I’m alone/clarify to me all that you will

Teach me jack s**t/my friend will

Teach me all that you know/But never truly let me go

Not once let me use/All the things that I’ve learned

Just let me throw it away

So that I don’t learn/Pick up anything at all

And then I’ll know/you were never there at all (2x)

So I learn so much/after going so far

All the summers we spent drinking

All the winters we spent thinking

None of this planning comes to a final solution

None of these desires turn into goals

Cuz I have never found a source of hope at all

Teach me all/that you know/never truly let me go

Never using all the things that I’ve learned

Just let me wash away in the acidic rain
