The Trilogy of Life---Part3

The Trilogy of Life---Part3

A Poem by Richard Milam
"

The future ways of the world.

"

                                                                                           THE DECISION

So where does it all end, or shall we say begin?  The bereavement of one's died out, or the pity of those coming in?

Now on this globulous ball of infancy with such a fragile shell, Oh, to withstand the rigors ahead, the plight on us befell.

To teach of fellow beings fair and values forgotten long, of vanity and faithfulness and of knowing right from wrong.

And given of meager knowledge on this stepping stone we share, to prove our worth and send along our soul from our despair.

And of those who fail to carry their load while here with all the rules, perhaps another term of same for this incumbent bevy of fools.

And then, as the vision shows, and given for all the choice, of whether to travel to worlds afar  or be denied the voice.

To tell a new generation, exactly where you wronged, and live again among the beast until you learn the song.

And for new lives a new beast sings, his wares against new rules, for the maker one has given to thee a complete new book of rules.

And then as we go our way on this path to another level, our soul to seek a distant corner of the universe we shall travel.

Our soul and all of its knowledge, forgetful of the past, to reap rewards of this new land with its new book of rules so cast.

Then on to new worlds and rules behold, each world of greater being, of lovelier valleys and beauty abound and vista's of peace serene.

And to our makers messenger, reported here some time ago, and cast aside by mortal kings who considered him their foe.

In hopes he is forgiving, to us mortals to receive him well, when at last he comes to call on us, the millenniums of rift he'll quell.

For travel does he, from world to world, a most unthinkable task, to sow the seed of what lies ahead for new worlds our souls to grasp.

For grasp must they, these souls divided, in knowing which way to tell, he has sown the seed for us to decide, whether heaven ------ or whether hell............
