~ My Fantasy~
I start each new day a wonder-filled way, when I begin it with You. A "Hi, good morning!" as day is dawning, with a hot coffee for two.
We chat for awhile and we share a smile … such a joy these moments lend. Though, we're miles apart, I've a happy heart; for, I've found in You a friend.
Comes then, nice 'n snug, a warm cyber hug, and it sets my soul aglow. I am in no doubt what it's all about; you've the kindest heart I know.
Then, we bid goodbye, it is time to fly, 'cause the day holds much to do. And, I say a prayer that folks everywhere … find a precious friend like You.

Oh lucky me!!! Another goodie I have found of yours!!!
I am going through your work again to see what there might be that i have not read.
From your choice of font colour, to the image and then to your poem that made me smile, I was taken away to morning coffees across the world...
It is evening here 7:15 and early where you are...
I am having wine and you are probably on your second cup of coffee...Isn't it wonderful to communicate!!

Your graciously beautiful words are a welcome song in my heart … it's been too long.
Yes, we know so well the true warmth of friendship, You & I.
I've met a lot of great people online. It's amazing how close you can become to a person whom you've only communicated with through writing and never seen in person. I think, especially for introverts, it's easier to get to know each-other on a deeper level, when the physical is not part of it. We tend to be more open and free when we are able to "hide" by simply feeling comfortable enough to pause and think before we speak. It creates time and a safe space to be honest and be ourselves. Distance has no meassure in friendship and no meassure in love.. It's a wonderful poem, Richard.

How are you over there in the magically beautiful land of happiness, licorice, and the amazing Hans Christian Andersen?
I hope you are as delighted as you've made me feel with your wonderfully lovely and deeply understanding expressions in appreciation, knowledge, and keen wisdom of love, emotion, and depths of what truly meaningful relationships can be … rarely, is this shared with such clarity, warmth, and sincerity … you're like a sparkling promise.
Thank you ever-so gratefully …
for sharing my fantasy, Michelle ⁓ Richard🖌

Thank you so very much!
How wonderful it truly is to receive the warm glow of your effulgent words in sincerity and appreciative understandings.
What better gratification could an olde bard hope for than for his skills to be thought of as "fluid and refreshing" by an accomplished poet of your distinction?
Bless all your moments with joy, My Fine Friend ⁓ Richard🖌
In ones busy lives snd as we get older friends do die or leave us for other places
The friends we make online are real
We are all flesh blood guts soul spirit and as real as a friend in the kitchen
Or in bed sipping coffee
As we write we connect
Over the miles the moon the sun the continents
Great write Richard
My two best friends died the last two years we would lunch every few months and I lost a dear friend female too about five six years ago
No wonder we are online !!!
Ps we as friends aren’t fantasy I know what you meant though
otherwise I’d be a fairy 🧚♀️ but hey I love fairies

Aw, Sweetness, I am sooo very sorry to know of your loving losses … all too often, a space is left in our lives, but forever filled in the grateful heart of our memories.
A friend "in bed sipping coffee" … now, that's a sweet thought✨
"As we write, we connect." No truer words ever spoken, Dear Poetess.
Warmest hugs 'n smiles of happy thanks, Dear Julie ⁓ Richard🖌
Speaking of virtual friendship! A cyber hug can be just as warm as a real one. Your poem felt warm as well. The warmth of knowing we aren't alone in our journey and share the cold days as well as those that are warm ... as a good cup of coffee!

Richard,
As kids we always had fantasy friends....Real, of course bring a true connection and a true pain as anything real.... Love your poem! Joy to read.

Well Richard, true friendships (as you know) are such a blessing! This is such a beautiful poem. I think many people can appreciate your words. I certainly do. Some friends are just irreplaceable. Life is better with them. However they come to be, they know when their souls smile. It is comforting glow.
