Artwork: "Deliberation" … oil on canvas, by Spanish artist, Mario Sanchez Nevado Englyn Penfyr
(in-glin pin-fir)
The Englyn Penfyr is one of the 24 traditional Welsh stanzaic forms,
dating as far back as the early 8th century, it was recited before royalty.
Composed of 3 lines: L1 is 10 syllables, while L2 and L3 are 7 syllables each;
The first occurrence of the dominant rhyme in L1 is followed by a syllable and
a rhyme, which is repeated within the first two or three syllables of line 2.
Three verses is considered a poem, but there is no verse limit.
The rhyme scheme per verse, therefore, is A-b / b-A / A, etc; as follows:
xxxxxxxA-xb
xbxxxxA
xxxxxxA
xxxxxxxC-xd
xdxxxxC
xxxxxxC
xxxxxxxE-xf
xfxxxxE
xxxxxxE
Constructive, well-intended critique is always welcome and appreciated. ✍🏼

So many thoughts and questions to ponder. Can peace be gifted? I think, in a way it can. Perhaps in the way we respond. Peace can be shown and ultimately learned... if one chooses. (... free will) Those who have the courage to overcome and make a difference, must always be supported. It is not an easy path. They are the peacekeepers of this fallen world, and the promise that hope lives.

If there were anyone to be entrusted with the key that unlocks world peace, I know it would surely be You.
Thank you ever-so gratefully and warmly, Dear Poetess, for sharing your beautiful heartwords! ⁓ Richard🖌

Our world has a lot of learning to do. I love the picture that you chose to go with this poem as it symbolizes so well that lack of peace within that is projected without.

Thank you ever-so much.
How thoroughly I agree with your wise, well-stated words of keen understanding … I was certain You would read me right.
I, too, feel the artwork fit rather intricately with the timbre of this poem's deeper message.
"It must be learned, piece-by-piece" yes this is what I learned in my years. no matter how pure we are, and living in our true-self, life is painful and ugly at many times to keep maintaining that peace, and we might lose it completely as we might lose ourselves too, then we learn how to build it again, if we chose to do that. we can find comfort that we are not alone in this world in this. whether peace for earth or our inner peace, your words suit perfectly both. always such a pleasure to read your deep understanding and wisdom of life.
