this is so sweet, we often don't know what drew us to a person to begin with... was it their physical beauty? Was it their kindess? Their passionate heart? Or was it a combination of everything that made them truly one of a kind? I'm sure this person you are talking about in your poem is a very lucky lady, very unique as well! My favourite line is the last lines of your poem
" you’ve never been about love,
love has always been
~ about You~" , Love has always been a out that special person, they define love and what it means to love and be loved. A warm beautiful last line to end a Lovely poem! Thank you for sharing, I enjoyed the read!

Real love endures, and grows. It defies close scrutiny or analysis. We think we understand it, and to some extent we probably do, but love is still a wonderful mystery in many ways. A fine tribute to love. Clearly a very personal write, but one that most of us can readily understand.

Now, here the kind of review a hopeful bard can hang his appreciative hat on … thank you so much, Syr.
True, Robert, this is a personal write from the standpoint that it reflects my vision of the ideal woman. I enjoy creating imaginative scenarios I think other will enjoy, and as you say, "understand" and/or relate to.
An excellent review, Robert, I'm ever-so grateful for! ⁓ Richard🖌
Richard, I loved this! So many of us are drawn to a relationship because of the physical beauty of a person. It can take years, as you have shared, to truly see the inner beauty of someone and, in the end, you realize that this special person is the epitome of love. All her wonderful traits are love. I truly enjoyed this! Thank you!

A woman of true inner values and romantic ethics wields your keenly observant pen. And, I, a fully appreciative bard, am gratified beyond expectations for your shared wondrous discernment of this humble poem in homage to an ideal love partner.
Love keeps changing in its nature' and it's needs but an enduring connection outlasts the physical and transcends beyond this realm. With the passing of years, passion is replaced by companionship and fervor by wisdom, peace and true joy. Such a beautiful rendition on lasting love, dear Richard! Your words renew our faith in relationships. 🙋♀️

“Countless times
your ample breasts,
your warm, velvet thighs,
your satin soft lips fed my manly needs,”
At this point I stopped reading Richard, there’s a thing in Britain, it’s like, too much information dude, it’s very one sided, how about your lovely ladies point of view. This is you, you, you, I was enjoying reading your poem before this point, then I stopped,
Lathen.

Gosh! I sure would be disappointed if you missed out on a truly lovely poem and got the wron idea about my writing.
No harm done though, Sir … the rest of the composition is still here for you to read and enjoy.
It is composed in eleven verses, and is a beautiful Free Verse poem. Even the single verse you've decided is too one-sided actually fits seamlessly into the rest.
The title is true, My Fellow-Poet … this poem is not all about me, me, me at all … if you'll give it another chance, you'll realize just how much all about "her" it truly is.
I don't think you Brits have a commodity in "too much info" … I've found this to be a matter of taste around the globe.
I invite you to start over and give it another chance, Lathen … I'm confident you'll come away with much more positive outlook about this lovely, loving, and romantic piece.
My best to thee! ⁓ Richard🖌

That last line is a zinger. You want to hold the entire beautifully written piece at face value, but that line seems like maybe reality still exists within the confines of true, blissful adoration. That may just be the negative Nancy portion of me (less than 1% I think...lol) prodding the this is too good to be true button. Loved this Richard!
