Wow! What an amazing picture you paint for your reader of snowflakes falling on a cold winter's day, Richard. Gorgeous imagery! Love the alliteration and simile and how you describe the snowflakes drifting into your heart where they were sure to melt in its warmth. Lovely work, Richard. Thank you so very much for sharing...

It's hard to fathom that those miniscule flakes can amount to such accumulations. But it is mesmerizing nevertheless to watch them fall silently to the ground. I do hope you are well!

At the risk of sounding clche: This is 'beautiful' imagery.
At the risk of loosing a friend before you make one, first thought: wings don't fall.
second thought: how delightful it could have been if it were 'flying like lace crystal wings' instead.
third thought: Richard's given it more thought than I have, I'll go with the poet.
last thought: I wonder if this what he meant by 'meaningful reviews'.

Thank you sincerely for selecting one of my humble poems to read and critique, for the encouraging compliment, and for sharing your wonderings and thoughts of my own intentions and meanings.
True, normally "wings don't fall," but imaginary lace crystal snowflake wings do. The thought of "snowflakes" flying and soaring up and about (to me) creates a different imagery than that of my mind's-eye … and, I'm thinking to interpret such metaphor literally would undo its intent of fantasy wonderment.
I think your review is in the upper register in meaning, in that it is open, honest, and well-intended toward inspiringly helping to better this piece and my penmanship.
What more could a hopeful bard wish from one of his astute readers than this?
Blessings, my fine new friend! ⁓ Richard 🍂
