PETRARCHAN SONNET
A 14 line poem, with each line "composed in iambic pentameter".*
*(ten syllables in repeated short/LONG vowel sounds)
The Octave (first 8 lines) typically introduces a theme or problem.
The Sestet (last 6 lines) provides a resolution (w/varied rhyme choices),
the whole in accordance with the following rhyme scheme:
a-b-b-a
a-b-b-a
c-d-c*
c-d-c*
*[end Sestet variants]
c-d-e-c-d-e / c-d-c-c-d-c /c-d-d-c-d-d

It's so humbling to think of just how vast the universe is. Especially after images, like the one of a black hole recently released, almost take us there. Might not be long before we see worlds of planets as clearly as we see galaxies now. As one of the notes you sing about here, I hear your tearful tune and appreciate the Creator's cleft. Fortunate we are to have such a beautiful planet to rest on. One could say your song is sung in 8/6 time.
I'm studying Petrarchan sonnets to see how other poets resolve the octave in the sestet. In this it looks like the narrator switches to personal expression in the last half of the sestet.

It's a distinct pleasure to share my humble poetry with you, and to receive your always interesting takes on what I've meant.
Of course, my song here is sung in the rhythm of iambic pentameter (as all Sonnets are), rather than 8/6 Ballad time, but I think I get your gist.
Yes, it is quite normal to close with a Tercet that dwells on or presents both the Octave's essence/spirit and a personal reflection, thereof. But, this is the author's choice to, or not.
Thank you again, Bill, for reading and reviewing! ⁓ Richard🖌

Your way of typesetting a message such as this (font & graphics) enhances the ethereal quality you put into your lyrical words. I'm afraid the dissonance in our times has grown so loud that people forget to listen for God's Sweet Lullaby, which is always there to guide our moods & thoughts. Hope Laura didn't take you into her arms too wildly! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Ironically, as much care as I take to make my earnest little efforts appealing to readers' mind's-eye, there is seldom acknowledgement of it in their reviews … this is why your sentiments are so special to me; thank you ever-so warmly, Sweet Poetess, along with such exact understanding of my intent.
True, there does seem to be a more than usual prevalent theme of discord in the socio-political atmosphere … unfortunately, more do not/cannot hear the music of God's sweet lullaby, eh?
Laura, irresistibly powerful lady she was, took her wanton ways elsewhere to reap havoc.
A blessing, a cozy hug, 'n a warming smile to Thee! ⁓ Richard 🍃
you are not just a note ,but a rhythm ..A melody to the ears ..God's sweet lullaby ..i hope to hear you one day ..

How delightful it is to receive such wondrous accolades and praise, from such a fine poetess, for my humble efforts to compose a worthy Sonnet.
What a lovely thought, too, that one day you should aspire to hear my voice … reciting this very poem, perhaps?
Thank you ever-so warmly … hugs! ⁓ Ric 🍃
