Oh my goodness to discover yet another beauty of yours and lucky me..on the same day..One in the early morn and one as evening settles in the mountains..
The idea that somehow life goes on...as my Forevermore poem says... about my own death.
Sharing ones heart..ones love while able to is so important.. even little things matter..and knowing that can make a difference to the way ones days are lead.
Life is but a moment ...and each moment needs to be made aware of.. Keeping our hearts open to love is the key.
This I believe,
Lisa

To know we've met and harmoniously touched on another of my original formatted pieces is bountiful, indeed, but to know we see eye-to-eye in matters of the heart is sheer bliss.
I thank you ever-so gratefully for your beautifully gracious words in review for this tender little poem … hugs to You ⁓ Richard🖌

I am so very grateful you selected this little piece written in homage to life'n love, and especially that you were able to find favor in it enough to leave a nice compliment and positive comments … what more coulda hopeful bard ask? : )
Ironically, the verse you highlighted is my favorite, too.
With grateful thanks, Kimmie … happy blessings! ⁓ Richard 🍃
The dichotomy of being human centers largely on the fact of human relationships. Humans are the only creature that need other humans. Aside from the domesticated animals that we have created to fulfill our own needs. I think about this sometimes--I mean the ways that there are essentially two worlds contained within this one earth, and how that divide between us and nature has grown ever wider through the course of human time.
I like the way your poem honors the foreverness of nature--the ways it is resilient and does not need outside forces to sustain it. It will not weep for us, no. And the birds will continue in their beautiful songs even if every last human is gone. Unlike us, nature does not offer beauty in exchange for praise. It offers beauty because it is essential to the functioning of the planet and continuation of the myriad species that inhabit it. The fact that beauty is functional is a wonderful thing.
I like the way your poem focuses on the understanding of our insignificance in the grander scheme of things. And dances with the timeless beauties of nature. And then, finally, honors that greatest of human achievements--Love.

Though, I've yet to receive reviews from anyone (but You) whose mind, imagination, and heart reads my poetry and actually seems to grasp every aspect of every piece's essence; then, possesses the literary skill and verbal dexterity necessary to convey it so eloquently, evocatively, and thoroughly concise, you "somehow" make me feel special, understood, enjoyed, and appreciated, and I have no idea what more a hopeful bard could possible hope for.
You are the ultimate Poetess … thank you ever-so gratefully and warmly, Dear Eilis, for sharing Your graciously intelligent self with Me.
With happy smiles 'n hugs! ⁓ Richard 🍃
