This poem is so lovely it plays like a melody.
So tender and silky, it speaks to me.
How many hearts have you stolen or left throats swollen?
My dear man you are a rare gift with song,
Please don't keep me not waiting long
For another chance to hear your voice
Please understand I have no choice.
I'd love to dance to your tune
In the hour of midnights first June.
(Ok hardly is it advice to give or comment made. But I had to answer in this way, for to read your words is to dance in celebration to a man who celebrates women. Thank you for sharing

Sighhh! Such a compellingly stirring review you've gifted this doting poem and its graciously pleased author.
You certainly know how to catch a bard's attention, charming him with a delightfully sweet, warmly imaginative verse of your own.
Seems you celebrate men every bit as enjoyably as I do women.
For answering in the way you have, please, accept my warmest hug of thanks to thee, Dear Poetess! ⁓ Richard 🍃
what an artisan wordsmith you are richard, & a little flirty too !! 😉 wink
your poems never disappoint, & this beguiling poem casts a wonderful warm & descriptive spell around us female readers & elevates us onto a pedestal - very flattering, to be sure.
but really were just ordinary ol' women, which you're seeing through rose coloured glasses.

What a wonderfully fulsome array of accolades you've blessed a hopeful olde bard for his adoration of the fairer gender's poetry and presence amongst us … you being one I certainly had in mind when composing this flirty, flattering piece … wink*
Yes, I see all women as beautiful flowers, with all their other undeniable flavors in inner strength, intelligence, warmth, and endlessly array of intrinsically blessed wonderments.
That my skills allowed, I'd write a tome of praises to You, Carola … to You All!
With endless hugs 'n blessings of warmest thanks! ⁓ Richard 🍃

Thank you for writing this tribute to all the women writers who write poetry similar to yours . . . clearly this poem has nothing to do with women poets like me! *wink! wink!* But I don't feel left out. I do not aspire to be in this company, but there are many who are & it's a merry mutual admiration going on between yourself & these lyrical ladies! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Well, Margie, you may not consider yourself befitting this poem in appreciation, gratitude, and homage to "all" the onsite lady-poets, even though You were one of those most present in my intent when I wrote it, and it's meant for "every" genre of poetry, including women poets' poems, like yours … you know how much I admire and enjoy your writing. : )
Thank you most gratefully for reading and commenting on this lovely piece, and for those ever-captivating, knowing winks* 😏
But, mostly for being You! ⁓ Richard 🍃
Such sweet words with beautiful imagery. Your piece was like a gathering of a Lady's Poet Society recognizing the diversity of its membership, except that your wording was so much more gathering than the excited chatter such a gathering would be. In solitude, we write with grace. In meetings we chatter as we sip our brews. Together we stand to beautifully sing the song: Mistress of the Verse in the harmonies of our various parts. And you give each of us a cameo highlight to celebrate us, your counterparts. Thank you.

Could I have wished for than this sweetly gracious whisper of stardust sprinkled from your warmly glowing ink, to bless this most flagrant poem in adulation to your own femininely poetic brilliance.
I simply cherish your metaphoric tale of the Ladies' Poet Society, leading into such praise of my own smitten sentiments, and the resulting song, "Mistress of the Verse" … especially, "the harmonies of our various parts."
Goodness-ME!

A beautiful tribute to all the great lady poets
I’m sure I’m not included more of an amateur ditty writer here well done I say thanks for elevating the ladies up now it’s time for us women to write of our men poets if only words could describe adequately how some have encouraged me from the time I was a newbie here Shy and unsure groping in the vines of this cafe that grew outside the windows to make me feel welcome Not not so stupid where I could sit at the back bench of the cafe and look, write run competitions and just feel at peace here where I didn’t feel judged

Here you are again … ummm-HM!
What an unexpected, special treat you truly are, to stroll by for a second bit of the apple.
It is for You equally I composed this beautiful homage to "all" our wonderfully captivating lady-poets.
And, ohhh, M'Dear, I get shaky knees imagining the enthralling poetry you'd each pen for us lucky, smitten bards … one can only dream. 😏
I hope, somehow, I'm included in your list of inspirers, Julie … it makes me feel deeply warmed and proud to think so.
Your peace is my peace, as your wondrously enthralling words in review spark a joy any man would cherish.
Ever-so gratefully, I hold you fondly in my warmest thoughts! ⁓ Richard 🍃

Love the cafe ! It’s a soft spot in this crazy mixed up but beautiful world we live in to come and sit in cafe and not be judged but somehow cherished by complete strangers who are friends far and wide
Thanks Richard love the old world language too you write with
I am quite fond of this poem, especially since my two favorite all-time poets are Dickinson, one, and Plath, two.
There is something both soft and strong in their writings all at the same time...and vulnerability shines through....Plath led the life expected, subservient for the most part. But she was really strong in her poetry and like she said in Lady Lazarus ..."i eat men like air"--
Fourth verse, line three should be "who"---
but wow, such a tribute to the past female poets as well as to the marvelous female poets we have on this site----an abundance of great voices.
Well expressed, Richard.

It is so nice to see you and to receive another of your always gracious, helpful, and appreciated reviews; especially, for this lovely little piece in homage to our fair poetess virtuosos.
How empty our hearts would be without their enthralling works of wonderment, and who better to express "life" in the marvelous art of poetic expression, than they who gift "it's" very breath unto the world⁓*
You mention Dickinson and Plath, among my very favorites, alongside Browning, Millay, and Brontë, et al.
Thanks so gratefully for reminding me of my who/whom rules … buy me books and buy me books! 🙄
I am thrilled you find such favor in this rather complex composition, Jacob.
