Stepladder, a new form by Bad Bunny (see below for instructions).

Make My Day!

This morn
awoke me to dark sky;
each bright windowpane - awash
with rain.

Forlorn,
I asked the rain gods, "Why
would you pick this day to quash?”
“Abstain!

Adorn
with beauty for the eye …
fill with sunny skies, by-gosh,
agāin!”

Richard, The new Stepladder Form developed by Bad Bunny must have been just the Inspiration that you needed to write this beautiful poem to share with us ~ it definitely “Made my day”.

Yes, indeed, Bad Bunny's Stepladder form is just the kick in the rear I needed to shine my excited old pen and fill it with the creative ink it loves to flow with.
I really hope you give this form a try, Mary Jo … it deserves to be enjoyed and used often by many poets … it's a sure winner!
There are so many deserving poetesses and poets doing their passionate best, how could I resist helping in whatever way I can.

It's ironic you said that: When I was a teen, my dad told me, "Son, I think, if you think you're right, you're stubborn enough to argue with a fence post trying to prove it!" LOL!
I imagine he was correct, but thank goodness I've since mellowed … somewhat. ; )
Matt, I'd love to read your rendition of Bunny's Stepladder form … please, let me know if you do, and I know he'll be pleased, too.

Good can come out of bad... depends on a person's perspective. Oh well, we are unable to control nature or the forces of nature but a lesson in life would be not to 'put all your eggs in one basket but think up a 'plan B' if A fails. No use getting all worked up over things out of our control eh! Great challenge this form I agree but achievable if one puts one mind to it! Progression is only achieved if we take on challenges. That's our purpose on site - I believe. Hope I have interpreted this right.

Every once in a while you meet a soul that has something inside them that is a natural conductor. I am a person of whom is (by chance of nature with a bit of a cracked brain... given to processing issues) a bit of a non conformist. Structure is a stepladder for me in so far as repetition is the bane of forget. But when applied to writing can be very difficult to overcome. Since joining this society of sonnetist I have absorbed and read till my eyes bled. Then a fellow like Richard emerges and gives so much energy to help an aspiring rodent of a writer conduct his heart too. The teacher persona is one that I have always respected and admired despite my being the bane of there existences in my state of being such a difficult pupil. But eventually it does permeate this thick scarred skull and it is most appreciated. I shall not write of the sheer brilliance of this new format constructed by one of whom will surely be heralded as one of the great poets of our time....
(LOL just kidding)
Seriously all kidding aside I do like the way this poem unfolds it comes across as a subconscious dialogue in whisper and opens up in a very relate-able sentiment to a natural beauty and the video is a perfect accompaniment! Bunny (and Robert) is honored

Well, My Ultra-Fine Friend,
I have to try and remember to give thanks to the brain gods for cracking your brain, so all the amazingly original and wonderful writing it contains could pour out onto the page for our enjoyment and entertainment.
Not only that, but showing you the wee bit I have about poetic verse has been a sheer pleasure … you've made it so easy with your open-mindedness and willingness to take-in and skillfully put to use all my incessant babbling … LOL!
Your expressed respect and admiration is returned tenfold, I assure you, My Friend.
Your new form, with its challenging, but wonderfully fun movements and design, should become quite popular.
