A truly fascinating tribute to poets of old who worked so hard to enchant their readers and in return to earn a living, in this exceptionally penned Sonnet. All poets past, present and future, I feel will forever be both grateful to those who view their poetry and respectful of their views. Wondrous inking, Richard. Enjoyed reading your amazing Sonnet complemented by a very apt and beautiful painting. Thank you for sharing...

dearest Richard… as feathered Wings cover my Breast… I will rest in a Nest of turquoise eggs where romantic notions quietly flourish on a Branch in a Sycamore Tree… I loved Thee until the Dawn of tomorrow …. Softly, Pat

Happened by and found yet another lovely Sonnet from you dearest Richard.
Sharing your efforts for other poets to find is fabulous.
You have that certain something that draws the reader in and the reader begs to stay...
Each word brings about a beat that is longing for the time spent by the reader.
I adorned this poem as I adore all your poems.

A beautiful Sonnet Mr.Richard! This poem speaks of a poets love for sharing their work for the world to see. They expect nothing in return, only just to touch another person's soul in some way. They put their love for the subject and the poetry form into their piece which exemplifies how beautiful and extraordinary their work becomes as a result of the dedication! Nicely written!

Richard,
This is incredibly well done. I think English sonnet is the most difficult of form to write, and this reads so easily and unforced it is quite exquisite in construction. The turn is where it should be and the closing couplet is natural and unforced.

Bravo!

I tell anyone who is willing to listen. When we read a reader or poet. We make their words come alive. When we read the ancient writers. We allow them to live again. Best honor for a writer. To be read Richard. Thank you for sharing your amazing words and your thoughts.

Hello Richard and I always enjoy your work.
This was so much fun to read. I think you captured an older style of English in a way that pulled your readers into the time period while keeping it something all audiences can read. I am such a fan of bards and storytelling through poetry and song. You have given us something that plunges us into an old creative world rich with wonder.

Also incredible the way you kept the flow throughout the whole piece!
