Oh my Richard, your words have found their way into a special place within my heart and has left me breathless. This is a beautifully penned Sonnet that will leave many feeling it was penned just for them. I’m wondering how you got your hands on that picture of me? You know that I’m a hot blooded red-headed Italian minx and the picture portrays me perfectly. 😏.
Richard, you are a Wonderful Sonneteer and Your words have warmed me up quite nicely on this cold Sunday night. I’m Leaving you with warm thoughts and hopes of sweet dreams my dear man. Thanks for sharing YOU with us again Richard. Mary Jo😇

How beautiful this is. I love "gently wrap a silk moonbeam". I wish I could be inspired to write something which included that line, or something akin. A lovely dream-like poem. Thank you fir sharing it. Sessy xx

That you think of this little Sonnet as beautiful makes a hopeful bard feel as though his humble efforts have, indeed, hit their mark in someone who recognizes and appreciates him the way he's wanted to be.
If you like that line, I bequeath it to You, and look forward to enjoying it treaded into one of your splendid poems.
Thank you, Lovely lady-Poet … big hug! ⁓ Richard 🍃

Beautiful painting and wonderful words. Richard, you made me believe every word. The poem had the feel of the ancient poets. Made the words come alive. Thank you for sharing the outstanding poetry.

It's so nice seeing you here today … I needed a pick-me-up, and when I caught your name on in review of this lovely little piece, I knew I'd get it. : )
I really enjoyed your insightful take on my humble Sonnet, too.
Thanks, My Friend … a great day to ya! ⁓ Richard 🍃
Your sonnets are always most beautiful, but I don't understand the need for using quotations with the word, "would". Is it to express the intent more explicitly?

I'm quite partial to the painting, too … I am so happy you find loveliness in it. : )
As You know, all forms of the Sonnet are composed in iambic beat, and if I were to have said:
"I would WEAVE you LOVE'S SOFTest, WARMest DREAM"
you can see that it would alter the iambic flow, but if I place the stress on "WOULD", thusly:
"i "WOULD" weave YOU love's SOFTest, WARNest DREAM", it places the stresses in correct iambic order for the lines to read in a smooth iambic flow and beat.
Call it poetic license. ; )
Thank you ever-so dearly for finding and commenting on this sweet little piece, Kelly … my day just smiled its first smile! ⁓ Richard

I have, in my fairly extensive collection of books, (mostly gifted to me by my grandma,) a six volume series entitled, 'The Casquet of Literature, a selection of prose and poetry from the works of the most admired authors,' printed by Blackie and Son in 1874. Suffice to say, this lovely poem would not be out of place among the many fine works contained in those volumes.

That is quite the compliment you've bestowed upon my sweet little Sonnet … you have blessed me most warmly and deeply, I can assure you.
Ironically, I bequeathed my leather-bound 1st edition "The Casquet of Literature" set to my brother this past Christmas … he has always wanted it.
BTW, my Poet Laureate Aunt Kate presented the set to me on my 18th birthday, and my 103-year-old grandmother left it to my aunt in her will.
Thank you ever-so sincerely for your truly lovely touch … my warmest hugs to thee! ⁓ Richard : )

Soft and real this poet's words to fulfil a dreamers dream. If only it be real m'lord; but 'dreamers' never cease to dream but be content and happy in things that cant be seen! Elated would a 'dreamer' be words could be so sweet as to keep the dreams alive and constantly be ones treat!

Why don't more people dream like this rather than spend time on chasing cash, ambition and excesses as if they can't be lost over night. Loving in sweet dreams, however fanciful softens the insensitive heart, cynical imprudence and all that stuff. Your beautifully laid words, alongside the Waterhouse beauty expresses far more between the words than some might understand. Long live dreams...

Your words … a dream within themselves … bless this humble poem in ways their essence wondrously transcends, by far surpassing any expressed appreciation, enjoyment, and praise I might have expected.
They will, therefore, be held and treasured throughout the coming year as a bright inspiration to keep writing and sharing.
"The Most Beautiful New Year Blessings To You, Dear Em!"
Thank You ever-so warmly and gratefully for such a fine review! ⁓ Richard 🌿
I would imagine if a lover could feel such words of adoration... they are already living a softly woven dream. Cherished in each others eyes amidst the spark'ling shine... No truer love weaved from a silken moonbeam. A lovers Sonnet gently caressed.
