 Eden's Haven...

    There is a place I long to be,

    to sit and dream awhile ...

    where gently calls to me your voice

    from many a far mile.

    A place where spark'ling di'mond glints

    play on dancing ripples,

    relenting to soft moonlit night's

    undulating dimples.

   'Tis peaceful there without a care,

    a haven wrought by fate ...

    and everywhere a song of life

    to fill us and elate.

    Oh, grip us tight, Eternity,

    embrace with no more stress;

    an Eden built by dreams for two ...

    but mine -- I must confess.

To have such a meaningful and captivating oasis...it's admirable. I love how the picture provides the added touch of peace here and doesn't distract from the overall message. The words, however, in this piece transforms this magical place. It encourages me to just dive in and float among this paradise of which the speaker speaks. I like how the speakers confesses that such an escape was meant for two though essentially for them to enjoy. Delicate and precise format. Great read.

I do love it.
It is a wood block print by Katsushika Hokusai entitled "Under a wave off Kanagawa", depicting Mt. Fujiyama in the flume of the wave.
I am attracted to all of Hokusai's works … he's the epitome of Japanese artmand a national treasure.
