OUR FILL O' GREEN BEER (St.Patty's Day cheer)

Unmetered Quatrains … a bit Irish naughty!

~ OUR FILL O' GREEN BEER ~

Frosted mug … prone on th' bear rug,
just my sweet gal 'n lucky ol' me...
sippin' those suds, free of our duds,
we're stead'ly kissin-n quite fancy free.

Oh, green beer, bring us great cheer,
how could we make it, without a doubt.
"Erin go bragh!" Let's all drink a crock,
get crocked 'n give out a rip-roarin' shout,

"Yay-hoo for all, who've answered the call,
let's stand right up 'n all toast a cheer!"
Matters not, what is swingin' out hot,
'cause we're guzzlin' our cold green beer.

Heard some bitchin', out in the kitchen,
but it was a dilly who's just actin' silly,
dancin' a jig while the other girls swig
off a keg that had been made quite chilly.

All of the guys givin' all the gals eyes,
they're thinkin' soft hay in the barn.
Waitin' a jot for just the right spot,
when they'll no more be given' a darn.

Cabbage a-cookin', guys 'n gals lookin',
what's this night gonna be addin' up to
when it's time, on the midnight chime
at the old Irish day's wild hullabaloo.

So, drink ye all hardy, at the Patty's Day party,
have all of your fill, full o' green beer.
Yell it out loud, "Slainte!" as the crowd
revels far into the night with good cheer.

Yes, Ria,
Just mix a drop of green food coloring into a glass of beer, and "walla!"
It's only as bitter as the kind of beer used.
