The last stanza:
Rejoice sweet bird
in endless song,
thrilling one’s soul
the whole day long. Sounds so enchanting. Bird tweets are the most peaceful sounds of nature, hearing them in the morning when I just wake up makes me feel good, its a sign of spring and summer because in fall and winter we don't hear them.

I love messages about the natural beauty found in creatures & you've tuned this one like a set of guitar strings. Not familiar with this particular bird, but your word painting helps a reader feel as if it's right out there, doing its thing, enjoying being observed in your poem. Great word crafting! Fondly, Margie

How wonderful to see you this fine day.
What a lovely brag you gave me on this informative composition about my little feathered friend.
There are several species of mockingbird around the globe, and the picture in this one is the kind here in Texas … in fact, it is our Texas state bird.
I am so happy you read and enjoyed this poem; your words have graciously and warmly blessed me … hugs! ⁓ Richard : )
Our 'feathered friends', delicate, carefree, a delight to you, to me. In the air so pure, so clear with much joy without fear. A delight to read! Thank you.

Oh I forgot to say that the Humming Bird is another joy to see!
Thank you for advising us on the Chaiku Richard. The images you have posted with your poetry are superb. I love birds but don't know much about the Mockingbird at all. It is not a native of where I reside. However I have learned from your wonderful tribute to this little creature that is can mimic others. All bird song lifts my spirits. I am left thinking what an incredibly clever little thing it is. Thank you for sharing your eloquent and beautiful poetry.

How wonderful to introduce you to this interesting little form … I am so pleased you find favor with the pictures of this enthralling bird, too.
The lifespan of the mockingbird averages 8-years, during which it continuously learns sounds of the environment around it, including other birds species, dogs, cats, insects (such as the bullfrog and katydid),even the human voice. I once heard on high in my walnut tree singing, "here kitty-kity" over and over, and it's d=said they will mimic car alarms and motorcycles, as-well, etc. I listened one night in the fall (their mating season) to a mockingbird outside my window sing for over an hour without one repeat … it's estimated they can learn in excess of 200 sounds.
The northern mockingbird (North America) is recognized as the most prolific songster of the various species, and is my state's bird (Texas).
Most all birds' voices lift my spirits, too, except the crow and the buzzard … LOL!
It is a pleasurable honor to share my poetry with you … thanks, Chris! ⁓ Richard : )

Sharing can be fun and interesting, Chris … ya think?
A wonderful tribute to a lovely bird, one of my favorites after making a trip to Australia. Their chirp, if you will, is so very distinctive and full of character. I once had a friend who lived near Perth and we would chat and the birds would be singing in the background. Such beautiful words and flawless form. This will be a keeper for me.

Of all God's creatures, wild birds (for me) are the most emblematic of freedom and joy.

Richard I've been away for a little while and I come back to be greeted with this
beautiful poem. In my mind, I can hear the mockingbirds' song. Thank you.

Yes, the mocking's song has a way of remaining long after it has flown.

I enjoyed the simplicity of this. I don't know if that has anything to do with this from or not. I watch mockingbirds around here and admire them, nothing wimpy about a mockingbird.

I do think the Chaiku form lends to simplicity of expression, and makes a nice enjoyment for those who favor it.
I could not agree more, My Friend … I saw a mockingbird handily ward-off an aggressive bluejay the other day, and that's not an easy task.
A tender, sweetly worded poem. As always its nice to read your words here, but have missed your special words which would “thrill my soul all day long”. Angel
