Phenomenal. I love your rhyming scheme, the writing style. Your poetic choices flow perfectly. There's a melancholy to the poem, but yet it still feels somewhat hopeful. Like waiting for someone you love to come home and they're running late.
Genuinely great writing - I'll be reading more!

The poem is composed in one of my own forms/rhyme-schemes, "Tens 'n Eights", which accounts for much of its flow and easy cadence.
I enjoyed your take and interpretation on this piece very much, too, as they tell me you really read it and grasped it essence … what bard could wish for more.
With sincerity, I humbly bow, Dear Poet! ⁓ Richard
I feel the rain as a cleansing of all that we wish forgotten. A refreshing of the love once had
and the hope, the prayer for its renewal. What a beautiful episode you portray with your words.

Your review, a touching poem in itself, speaks so wisely and beautifully to your keen grasp of this poem's core essence.
What could be more gratifying to an olde bard's hopes to connect with others and please them through his humble efforts.
Thank you most graciously, My Fine Friend! ⁓ Richard : )

Beautiful in all areas the ebb and flow of the use of words so true, bringing the two alive. Such love one can only hope for and search for - the wait will be worth it. 🌹

Your gracious expressions of understanding and interpretation are eclipsed only by the gentle praise that let's a bard know his earnest, though humble, efforts have touched another.
It is so very true, Kelly, and if there were an ounce of truth in this piece for the man whose pen scribed it, the wait would be well worth it … smiles and most grateful hugs to Thee! ⁓ Richard 🌸

Without any excuses or fawning, i can only say this is expresses more than everything for those who haven't your romantic language. Perhaps that rain are the tears of lovers apart but always knowing there's true love been the two.. For many, tis.. if only.

sometimes it's better to leave without "a stack of words"... it's simply the complete surrender to Love's primal flow, to Love's Kismet, in the senses and mind, in a "whole" way that even everything around flow with the same rhythm... in sadness and happiness, in pain and joy...
it's simply the surrender of the universe to Love's primal flow...

The impetus of your words strike a chord deep and sincere, felt in sensations derived by such a harmonious heart's flowing raindrops of beautiful emotions, washing over my own.
I fully agree, all things surrender to Love, GH … that is genuinely true! ⁓ Richard : )
Amazing and beautiful use of words. You made the reader believe in love and the rainy night. Thank you Richard for sharing the amazing poetry.

Heard, each daffodil ‘neath my windowsill
beckon in your lush, luring voice.
The harder it pours, like thundering roars,
our coursing blood leaves us no choice.
My favorite verse there. This is such a divine poem on rain, dear Richard. You have skilfully brought out the gentle sensuality that lovers associate with rain. It sets the stage for romance with its soft, alluring verses, great flow and rhyming.

You've highlighted a very beautiful verse that I, too, enjoy quite nicely … how wonderful to know we've connected so warmly.
The glow, praise, and expressed appreciation and understanding from your words is gratification an olde bard works so hard in hope of receiving.
I feel so deeply blessed … thank you, Dear Poetess! ⁓ Richard ✨
PS … I love your new profile photo … you've grown even lovelier with time. ; )

I really love how it ended. The last two line speak a lot. When an individual sees who supposed to be his love, it really make sense. No regret. Well crafted.

Richard- I love the following lines and am now waiting to sate that thirst of ours. I’m sorry to be so brazen- but your words brings out the wanton woman in me.
“Your bright, spark’ling eyes, warm, smooth velvet thighs
imagined enfolding my frame.
Oh, come sate this thirst, ere parched hungers burst;
softly, our rain’s whisp’ring your name.”
Your special Angel

The words of your review are hotter than my poem, and the invite, though tempting, may be more than an olde bard's heart can take … LOL!
It is wonderful to know, however, one of my pieces actually touched someone that deeply.
Yes, I can certainly see how that verse may inspire the senses quite nicely, too. ; )
