Life's Bright Memories ⁓ (dreamers)A Poem by Richard🖌Kyrielle Form … a cowrite by Great Aunt Astri and RichardLife’s Bright Memories Some things were once hard to accept, those words that hurt were so austere. With heads ablaze, we deeply wept … life’s memories lie gently here. I sit and think of all the things we mused about, not always clear; our thoughts so vast, we dreamed like kings. Life’s memories lie gently here. That which we did, dare we believed; were they the echoes our minds fear? Time heals dire deeds when hearts deceived … life’s memories lie gently here. Defending folks' and friends' true rights, we've tried to build a world with care, and often worked through long, dark nights; life’s memories lie gently here. Then, as the sun begins to set, I look around with love to share; acceptance takes away regret, life’s memories lie gently here. A better world we strove to build … in ways we did that hold us dear; one with all love and laughter filled. Life’s memories lie gently here. When all around we look and see an atmosphere of brighter cheer; was what has caused it, "You and me"? Life’s memories lie gently here.
