Beyond yon heavens, mountains, seas, far land,
in deep, yearning dreams, warm touch of her hand.
A wind, softly as silk, whispers my name;
light as a feather … moist lips light a flame!
Most often it’s sad, the nightingale’s song …
this night it sings all I’ve dreamt of so long.
Sensations abound behind yearning eyes,
passion’s searing breaths, graze quivering thighs.
Adrift in the night, flowed deep through my core,
her dark, sparkling eyes that promise far more.
Caressed senses, gyrations of fervor …
her carnal tastes, I cannot help savor.
Across my chest slides hair, dark as the night,
upon me she lays, proportioned just right …
o’ life divine, how my heart soars to flight,
as she takes me within … warm, wet, so tight.
The night sky awakens, planets surround,
in all our places, sensations abound …
soaring ethers of lovemaking’s high crest,
midst a billion stars … two dreamers so blessed*
2nd attempt to review this poem, hopefully I won't delete it too. Richard, please PLEASE teach me to write like this!!! I love how your words just flow so effortlessly. Susan,
You already write equal to this, some of your pieces better, and if you were reading them as anyone other than yourself, you realize what I'm saying!
Still, I'm not letting go such inspiring praise and appreciation, and, "Oh, I love your delicious review!" ; )
Thank you, Dear Poetess … with warmest, most grateful hugs! ⁓ Richard

A amazing poem my friend. The feel of the ancient writers. Filled with powerful description and allowing the reader to feel and understand the words.
"Across my chest slides hair, dark as the night,
upon me she lays, proportioned just right …
o’ life divine, how my heart soars to flight,
as she takes me within … warm, wet, so tight."
The above lines were my favorite. Thank you Richard for sharing the amazing poetry.

For such a wonderfully gracious and inspiring review for an olde bard's earnest efforts to share with and please his fellow poet's and poetesses' poetic enjoyment, I am most grateful.
That is certainly a pivotal verse in the scheme of this poem's core intent … great choice!
Bright blessings of gratitude for your day to smile on, My Friend! ⁓ Richard : )
It's not about the perfect structured poem flowing with the most smoothing rhythm to the ears and hearts, while the beautiful enchanting images are painted inside our minds leaving the spirits to soar and dream, but also about the ability to create that deep deep... atmosphere, that special space, that private world made of two, those two spirits whom entwining into one universe, though the bodies might not be able to join in, that's the real power of this poem, Your ability to build this world of two in such a wondrous way that captured this unbearable desires and soothed it through dreaming and imaging.
Couldn't see more perfect image to make Your words completely alive, or more perfect sentence to accomplish everything love holds than this...
"Soaring ethers of lovemaking's high crest."
Very special this poem is.

To receive such wonderfully deep-felt accolades and understandings for one of my poems, from such an accomplished artist as yourself, is inspiring, encouraging, and high praise, indeed, to a hopeful olde bard's eyes and heart.
I think the line you singled-out expresses the essence of this piece quiet appropriately.
Your lovely and powerful words have truly blessed and greatly pleased its author! ⁓ Richard : )

Beautifully written celebration of love and of safety for the human person with another. For me the concluding verse with its quite beatific visionary sense brings the poem together so well, again, a well chosen and appropriate image

It is so very good to see you this morning (PM for you), and to receive such a brilliant elucidation and construal of this rather tenderly steamy piece of poetic sensuality.
You've highlighted my favorite verse, and after reading your splendid poetry, it does not surprise me at all to know, we hear the same tune.
Thank you, George, for recognizing the images chosen for my pieces. I take great care to try and compliment each poem with something that helps set the mood … I'm so glad you approve of them, My Fine Friend.
Touche Richard:) ! Sensuous, Splendiferous and Celebratory- to say the least...your eloquence and passionate imagery so lyrically describe the elemental union of bodies and souls. "Soaring ethers of lovemaking's high crest"..Brilliant- Kudos!
