Hm, it's pretty, but is there something missing; is it too simple?
Well, it's early morning and I just had the first hot sip of lapsang … I'll check it again later.
Constructive comments and critique are always welcome … any help is appreciated! : )

Must admit, and truth must be said... when You write in Free Verses there is something rare inside You that comes alive to the surface, so vibrant, sheer glamour, beauty that is written, read and felt only in heavenly essence, so glad this appeared on the right list of my page reminding me with such a sublime, outstanding, glorious masterpiece... sigh! something I wish I've composed!

The gracious effulgence oozing from your fragrant accolades sooo warmly honor and bless a humble bard are so deeply felt, that my knees grow weak.
It's beyond my ability to adequately thank you for the way you enjoy my Free Verse pieces … yet, even my metered efforts have drawn like praise from your lovely voice.
You said, "Something I wish I've composed!" Hah! If mine were compared anywhere close to the level of sheer spiritual, living gloriousness of your poetry, I could only hope they'd be blessed with a casual glance.
No one's reviews touch more deeply or effectively than yours, Dear Poetess … thank you ever-so gratefully.
With My Happiest New Year Hug! ⁓ Richard 🍃

Wow. Touchingly written, from start to finish, with a soft hand and a smooth voice. Each word chosen, I feel, to evoke the softness and tenderness of the love which awaits at the end.
Purity... innoncence, even through the dark hopeless moments held above the ending, loving stanzas heads.
The typography surely helped with the mood, which was a wonderful use of such.
Wish I could play around with such on my, iPhone... too bad that's not an option; each font definitely helps create an atmosphere. And you have done so wonderfully.
With the vernacular chosen, the layout of each line and stanzas and the typeface all adhere to honesty and trust and gracefulness (through my lowly poetic eyes).
Nicely expressed and well composed, tale of love lost (or never had) and then found.

Your scope in the understandings of feeling and emotion allow this piece to speak and breathe of its own accord.
I thank you most humbly and graciously for your expressions of appreciation, keen observation, and praise, as they truly are gratifying to an olde bard's earnest efforts … blessings in the new year! ⁓ Richard

Just scrolling through and looking at the typeface and stanzas (without reading them) I am already reminded of your tale. That's an excellent job, through my eyes—to render a memory with only part of the whole. Great job.
As long as you're writing; I'll probably be reading (and studying your ways).

No obligation to review, but it is my contention that you possess the kind of depth to quite fully appreciate the nuance of a well-structured read.
Just enjoying the share of something a little different!

I am so sorry to be late for you … you left your beautiful blessing of sweetness for me at a time the site was not telling me, but nothing could take away from the delight of your words' touch upon my happy heart … thank you, M'Sweet! ⁓ Richard : )
I really enjoyed this poem, it really captured my imagination, and the emotions you conveyed really hit a note with me. Sometimes simple is best, trying to convey too much can lose the emotion felt in the poem so I am glad it is simple, great work.

Truly speaking, there wasn't anything that could be called 'missing'. It wasn't too simple; we can call it 'complex yet simply expressed', but this simple and sweet way is the best and most charming. It's difficult to tell which lines were the best, because, trust me, It was beautiful as a whole.
It was a world of joy-filled magic in itself indeed! ; )
I could hear the words speaking, such was the depth of the poem. You indeed wrote it from the core of your heart. Lovely. ^_^

It is with sincere regret, yet, great pleasure that I comment on your beautifully rendered words that shot straight to the center of my heart with such gentle praise and reassurance, such a sheer, deep grasp of my own words' essence … it truly gratifying to write for and share with one whose insights and sensitivities can, and yours surely have.
My warmest, most gracious hug of thanks to you, Dear Lady-Poet! ⁓ Richard 🌺
The site does not always let me know when a review has been left … sorry, M'Lady!
i don't think anything is missing .. i actually think it is complex as loneliness sucks ...i was hooked by my not agreeing with there being any comfort in it ... in the first half (or so) you brought your idea into more clear focus for me ..and in the second half pain has lessened and we are healed enough to enjoy all those wondrous memories of love and romance ...i think you did very well .. reading touched those tender/marvelous places that still contain enough pain to remind me not to do that again :) wish i could be more helpful; but i like it as is

Just cut my legs off and call me "Shorty" if I don't keep running across reviews I never was told about by the site's system.
Now, that I've gone back to read it again, along with your own words in review, I'm inclined to agree with you, unable to see whatever it was I thought was missing … it makes perfect sense to me now, and I'm sure there is a lesson in this, too, eh?
Gene, I often wish wish our insight was as 20/20 as our hindsight … LOL!
Bless you, My Fine Friend, for waiting, and if you know of any I've missed or if I miss any you ever leave for me, please, let me know … many thanks, always! ⁓ Richard : )

This is very profound and relatable.
Love the wording and "structure" you gave it.
I really like the second verse about pain trying to color moments but it can't. Everything seems, dark, gray, gloomy. We fail to see the beautiful colors of life and its bright side.

How wonderfully you've highlighted what I consider the core essence verse in this rather romantically poignant piece.
It is rewarding, too, that you perceive the "structure", as only a rare few realize that proper Free Verse form has structure.

A sweet agony when those moments come flooding in...as if a stinging of the heart...sudden and overwhelming....in a moment just wanting to escape reality and just dream. To wish, beg, plead to God almighty to change a circumstance... memories buried down deep within the heart...treasured there, and yet a haunting of restlessness.....oh my...these words are hitting me...

Thank you ever-so warmly and gratefully, Dear Poetess, for sharing the depth of your thoughts and feelings in how this poignant, yet, hopeful, piece has touched you, both emotionally and intellectually.
There is no higher praise gratification for a bard's earnest poetic labors than to know his efforts have touched his reader's mind, heart, and soul, as your words in review have touched mine.
Dear Sir, this is the second piece that I have read of yours today that brought more tears from my eyes but then it is beautifully presented leaving this reader in awe of your talent by allowing one to feel what has been written and shared upon the page and It is much appreciated by this reader Sir.
It is a sad, gorgeous piece of romantic poetry and leaves me wanting to wrap my arms tightly around you and give you a big hug of support for I feel your sadness deeply.
I am so happy that you did not stay away very long depriving us of reading your lovely heartfelt words. I hope that you are well sir and will soon be back to read more from you. 🌹 Angelheart
