Misunderstood! (resistant heart)A Poem by Richard🖌Quatrains in 8-count.
Misunderstood!
I know … life has mistreated you, that yourself, you've locked deep inside. I know, also, it is so true I'll have to break through your hard pride.
It happened just the other day … was when I held you in my arms, told you I love you every way; for, I was captured by your charms.
It was sadly misunderstood, thought I was just out to con you. Try as I might (your heart like wood), you turned to ice in my arms, too.
Oh, won't you, please, see I'm in-love, my heart is true and beating fast; that all the stars there up above, are telling you my love will last!
Regardless, that my soul is pure; when it speaks each romantic word, you'll never understand, I'm sure. Misunderstood, I'm just not heard!
I'll not give-up; believe me, Dear, I want you more than I can tell. If you'll let me show you I care, all of your doubts I will dispel.
To show you how sincere I am, please, take this flower, if you would. Kiss my lips warm, this is no scam; love's no longer misunderstood!
