Purely, imagination at work … someone put something in my tea, because I awoke this morning, took the first sip of lapsang souchong, and "this" emerged from my pen. Where does this stuff come from … anyone know?
Constructive critique is always welcome! : )

A broad, sweeping poem and quite beautifully constructed. I very much enjoy rhyming poetry, and overall I prefer it to free verse, though so much of that is equally abundant in artistic expression.
Glad I discovered you on Writer's cafe.
Beccy.
PS. I love the sonnet form and have written several.

it is so very nice to find you again, to feel your presence ribboned softly, sweetly amongst the warming breaths from your soothing words of gently-appreciative applause.
A simple bard, it takes so very little to set my heart aglow … a kindness here and there, a little touch in the right way(s), from the right person.
Rhyming, un-rhyming, fast, slow, happy, sad … how very marvelous poetry can be, eh? : )
The English Sonnet was my first adventure into poetry, taught to me on my ninth birthday by my Aunt Kate, Poet Laureate of her college … how ecstatic I was, because I'd read several of hers and fell crazy in-love with the form, like the smitten lad I was, and I've been smitten ever since.
I have several Sonnets on here, any one of which you might find favor in, or you could take a gander at this'un, to tell if you like my style: http://www.writerscafe.org/writing/RichardJ/1544490/
There are more on here, too, Beccy, if you don't take to that one … if you've the mind to read any, that is.
I am enthralled to know you are "glad" to have discovered me on the Writer's Café, as I feel the same of You.
Thank you, M'lady, for you delightful review of my humble little effort! ⁓ Richard
This thought fits well with a song I wrote in 2010.
The Stardust...
The Illumination, inside us all.
As Always, So nicely penned ,Richard

Thank you, lovely poetess, for gifting me this encouraging review … hugs to you! ⁓ Richard
I remember reading somewhere once that we are all made of stardust. It’s no small wonder then that we look to the skies. From ancient times till now, it has always been the same. We look afar, we wonder, we strive always to return home. Love dances in heavenly realms, and your words bring it down to earth. Lovely!
