A Peaceful Hush Through sheer lace curtains
sunlight greets her eyes,
to early dove song’s
cooing calls to rise. A stretch, or two,
the shutters then thrown wide ...
life’s splend'rous wonders
on display outside. Lies morning dew’s brocade
spread 'cross the lawn ...
caught in each drop
glints sunbeams'
spark'ling dawn. Rise steamy mists,
in ghostly arabesques ...
stand floral colours,
tall and statuesque. Wends warmly through …
a gentle breeze’s brush,
while all around takes on … a peaceful hush.

You know, it surprises me just how big an impact font can make on a reader. Normally, the words themselves would have to set the tone, etc etc. With every poem of yours I've read, the font (and accompaniment art) sets the stage and casts a gentle, romantic light on things. Then you, instead of using the font as a crutch, seem to use the already-set ambiance as a stepping-off point. You use your words to carry the reader through the poem like a leaf caught in a gentle summer's breeze.
Having said all that, the font doesn't take away from the words themselves, which can stand completely on their own.
One thing I like about your poems is that they aren't the typical perfectly-structured-flawlessly-rhymed love poems. Rather, they speak in romantic terms and simply set the tone for a romantic setting. There is enough mystique to make the minds of the readers work and think of their own happy places.

How I ever missed your in-depth, insightful, and highly appreciated review I'll never know, but it's very fortunate for me I finally found it, as your assessments of my humble efforts offer much inspiration, gratification, and enjoyment to an olde bard's hopeful ear to write for and fulfill his readers expectations.
Thank you ever-so sincerely, Jacob, sorry for the late return.
Yours truly ⁓ Richard 🍃
wow, Richard, this is so romantic...breezy, easy rhyme that just floats into the readers aura, like the sunshine slipping through the shades...

To receive a "wow" from your amazing pen, My Fine Friend, is payment beyond expectation, but the poetic graciousness of your words both energize and inspire my rusty olde pen to again spring into action … exactly the encouragement needed.
Thank you so very much, Jacob, for selecting this gentle and unusual piece to read, enjoy, and review! ⁓ Richard
Richard, Of coarse your poem was Beautiful as always but the best part for me was learning the new beautiful word. " Wends" I'm afraid it stole the show :-) Yet actually the one words empresses your whole poem. Almost as though you wrote the poem to express the word.

The encouragement in your lovely words for this poem both inspire and gratify my humble efforts to write, share, and please, and for them I joyfully thank you, M'Lady.
You've certainly selected an apt word to build the essence of this poem around, M'Dear, and I love how you've done it … yes, I, too, appreciate that splendid word.
Warmest, most gracious hugs to you, Connie! ⁓ Richard

I listened to the song on YouTube - the one I watched was from the 60's and was an experience in itself! What a beautiful and peaceful song and what a voice!
On to your lovely and equally peaceful poem! I feel the celebration of the day in this. The time to take in the glorious and intricate simplicity of the awakening of day. You convey a feeling of "all is right with the world" and it was like a breath of fresh air. Your skill with words and form is amazing...

Yes, that is the song, and you deeply please me by finding and appreciating it in such a wonderful way; indeed, you make my heart smile! : )
Then, what more could a humble poet wish for, than that a beautiful poetess would undertake to enjoy his ernest efforts so generously and sincerely … that she grasp the essence of his poetic meanings?
I truly cannot answer this, because you've joyously exceeded my expectations.
How can I possibly thank you enough, Claire … my most grateful hugs to you! ⁓ Richard
Ethereal; a moment of daily life is honored here with your inspired words. The dew, the doves, the steam emanating from the lawn--things that pass us by daily but seldom are appreciated for their grace. I am not a poet so I can't offer critique. I especially adore this:
"Rise steamy mists,
in ghostly arabesques ...
stand floral colours,
tall and statuesque."
Thanks for sharing,
LMC

The title "A Peaceful Hush" and easy spirit in verse content are self-explanatory, but I don't know that any would agree there's a lack of "any" deep emotion or feeling, and there should be ample "feeling" derived by each reader in their own way(s) from the vivid scene of Nature's splendor, itself.
Still, I know that poetry can often be quite subjective to the preferences, capabilities, and emotional, mental, and spiritual depths of the reader.
Thank you for the openly-honest review, My New Friend! 〜 Richard

OOPS!
I meant "subjective" in both my comments, as you said, Marcus.
Lovely, Richard, as always. I can figure out the Mollietta to some extent, but it would be good to know the rules before attempting one.
