Our Living Sea of Destiny ⁓ (future's glory)

A Poem by Richard🖌

Our Living Sea of Destiny ~

We each are living reservoirs
designed as such, made to be filled
with whatever this life shall bring,
until our longings have been stilled.

So, open wide, receive it all
that sets our hearts and souls aglow,
and when full, look until we've found
the one in whom to overflow.

Fill them up with all you've drank
until they flow back into you ...
lifelong rivers ever-merging
into one sea that once was two.

Once quiet waters stir and blend
with rising rolling to and fro.
No way to make them two again;
this is the only way they’ll know.

At times, their surface still and smooth …
others, a sparkling sunlit rill;
then, tossed with dancing peaks a'churn,
to frothy waves that pound and thrill.

Cool breezes blow, soft sunlight warms,
each star a glint 'pon moonlit peaks.
With passion grows each pitch and roll;
while all abounds, a lifetime seeks.

Within shall teem and never halt,
like ever-surging waves to shore;
our living sea of destiny
~
will then flow deep … forevermore.

What a beautiful perspective on vastness of the sea! This poetry is as mystical as the forever moving water, I can see the two rivers now colliding, simmering into each other through those passionate waves, what an enchanting way to describe life and love, I am truly inspired and awe-struck!

The beginning, oh I swoon at it!

A celebration of life - a fluid, forever flowing the human spirit uncontainable and uncontained appears to be a theme in this accomplished and vibrant poem. Refreshing to read.

Beautifully written poem. I always read aloud to myself poetry that I enjoy, and this flowed so very well off the tongue.

Very much enjoyed.

This reminds me of how songs, poems and writing come to us.
A thought that is mediated in the mind until the heart pours with overflowing, The Overflow spilling into words.
Hmmm.. Gives me a deeper thought about trinity and photons.... Hmmm I'll have to think about that...

So very lovely. It flowed beautifully, like your living sea, with such a soft stirring of the wind. Ah, poetry at its finest!

Ahhhh! This is poetry, the truest poetry. It kisses the soul and never lets go. This is beyond beautiful. Thank you, thank you, thank you for caring about the form as much as the content.
