Oh my goodness Richard ...
I have read all the Free Verse poems you sent me and now I am going back over them and leaving reviews...
They are all wonderful, but for some reason this one speaks to me. It has given me chills each time I have read it.
I believe everyone wants to have those beautiful moments...but in my experience with people I find that few ever reach that feeling in their lifetime... Sad but true. Perhaps some experience a bit of this love "feeling" when they are first experiencing love but probably not again. To find this quality of a life partner where deep love stays with you...forever, is fantastic. To actually step out of oneself and be open enough to let go is not easy. Oh gosh, sorry I am getting too philosophical...
Just want to say I loved it,
Lisa

I am quite thrilled that you actually consider my Free Verse pieces, assigned to read as examples, inspiringly favorable enough to return with positive reviews.
Perhaps, this particular piece stands out for you from the others because of its metaphorical imagery, smoothly flowing syntax, timely line breaks, all expressed in simple language and an appealing presentation.
Creatively emotive thought and the relatable theme might play a pert in it for you, too.
I think you've philosophically and worldly wisely expounded upon its appeal far better than I could have poetically. ; )
Thank you ever-so warmly, Dear Lady-Poet! ⁓ Richard 🥂

Happy Autumn Richard and you are welcome. The poetry was so wonderful.
This poem describes the thankfulness one person feels at meeting their companion. So beautifully you describe their journey of love from the sound of her voice, their eyes like twins, going to the Bistro together and ordering delicious food, those passionate nights, all started by one small word "Hello!" I like how you wrap up your poem in the last verse, you connect it nicely to your title. The word "Hello!" has a newfound meaning! it signifies the first time two strangers meet, in which their eventual friendship blossoms into something more! Thanks for sharing Richard, I enjoyed reading!

Here I am again, held captive by the effulgently beautiful glow of your breathtaking words in review to one of my hopeful Free Verse pieces.
How is it you always so brilliantly, almost intuitively, discern the core essence of my work, when so few others seem to? "The word "Hello!" has a newfound meaning!" It's such a wonderfully pleasant surprise, when you do.
Humble, most grateful hugs of thanks to You! ⁓ Richard 🍃
Well....now I'm a miserable single woman! Just kidding. This pulled on every string in my heart, and was written beautifully, allowing one to feel every emotion portrayed and meant to devour throughout. Thank you for another lovely piece of writing!

I absolutely adore this, " Praying … for just one more moment, one more chance to know, the texture of your tongue, the mystery of your “I want you” eyes.
That feeling of longing is so raw and so easily felt here. The moment when you realize what the hello could lead to and fantasizing about where it could go. Beautifully written - I've loved everything of yours that I have read!

How wonderful of you to stay around for another bite of my bardic apple … it's a pleasure sharing with You.
That you adore and have loved anything pertaining to me and my battered olde pen is a warm nudge of stimulating praise.
The lines you've highlighted are among my favorite, too … birds of a feather.😏
Your expressed feelings and interpreted sentiments of this rather evocative piece, harmonize beautifully with my own … what more could a wishful bard ask.
Thank you ever-so gratefully, Dear Haley, for loving everything of mine (so far).

"Even our eyes were twins,
mirroring wildflowers
in the meadows..."
"too little time to be distracted
from the religion
of
making-love."
I read many poems, I can feel the writer's feelings to my very heart, I can cry or laugh over it, but in truth I don't read often something to impress and move my inners quite well, and I don't know how I never came across this breathtaking diamond... there is more than words and well-written poetry there, and the way You speak of something more than deep using ordinary things always stunned me, and I more stunned here by your fourth verse, then comes the last one to ignite all these warm and tender feelings to the crest and settle them there, "our eyes were twins,
mirroring wildflowers, religion of making love??!?" how did You even write these! my voice seems speechless now to a rare gorgeousness! a simple "Hello" turns to profound fondness.

And, I'll add, most deeply, completely, and beautifully, as you have here. Your words speak softly, ever-so warmly, in a voice few will ever hear or understand … almost, a gentle whisper.
Seems, from long ago, our poems moved and touched one another inwardly … I guess there is a specialness about our writings we both find a certain pleasure and alluring value in, eh?
It's true, too, I am but a simple man who uses simple, everyday words to express thought, feeling, and emotion … this is the reason I'm so easy to grasp, feel, and understand, I think … would you agree?
I very much like the words and phrases you've selected to highlight, because (to me) they convey warmness, naturalness, the affection of living, and an easy appealing depth.
It's been a great time sharing with you today, Ghounwah … thank you ever-so warmly! ⁓ Richard 🍃

"Even now I worship your mouth," one of my favorite lines-I mean, what woman doesn't want to be, "worshipped?" :) But there are so many beautiful aspects of this piece...the softness of reflection, the imagery created...so lovely. "When your soft voice quilted my dreams with sighs..." Such a warm and romantic piece.
