There is always a mystique refrain in your longing. Rivers of rhymes splashing on the shore of the heart that longs, hoping to bring her back to your arms.
There is a beautiful and tender breathing of love and adoration with each stanza, kissing the lover with each vow. You write to ignite flames in the hearts of true lovers.
I love the gentleness of the painting that matches these verses perfectly!
romantic at heart -- as always! :D

Very interesting to see that you’re a fan of eights and sixes in quatrain form, Richard! You do them very well... not everyone can translate their longing into verse!!!
Nothing to critique here, just good, clean beautiful poetry.

Thank you ever-so warmly and gratefully for selecting this verse in homage to romantic yearning to read and review for me; and, especially, for sharing your insightful thoughts, appreciation, and praise.
Any number of 4-line verses about anything:
Aligned left or centered.
Syllable count per verse:
4-4/6/4-4/6
Rhyme scheme:
xxxaxxxa
xxxxxb
xxxcxxxc
xxxxxb
xxxdxxxd
xxxxxe
xxxfxxxf
xxxxxe
Etc...
I would love it if you were to compose a poem of your own in my form … It's easy to make flow and fun to try. Be sure to let me know if you do, so I can read and review it for you.
With brightest blessings, Dear Lady-Poet! ⁓ Richard🍃

Well, I’d be happy to give it a try! Be patient with me, kind sir!!!
'Always Mine''
Richard,
The meter, flow and rhyme is lovely as always and as always lends to the meaning within. I found myself thinking that a established relationship such as this is a model for those that are new in their marriages. I felt also that this the kind of stability which is needed in this world. No one has all the answers but choice to love and stay faithful speaks to more than just the loved one.
Blessings to you!
Kathy

Well, seems I've ever making excuses for why I'm so tardy in commenting on one of your gorgeously rendered, heart fetching reviews, but all I can say is that I love how you treat me and that your words of praise, enjoyment, and appreciation never grow old in the ways they let me know we've connected … and, "that", M'Lady, is what makes me want to keep writing and sharing.
Happy hugs 'n brightest blessings to Thee … warmest thanks, Dear Kathy! ⁓ Richard 🍃

Lit before and behind by love's sweet light. All are looking for this lantern sweet. The human heart needs every clue.

I like this one a lot! The lines, "your tender affection." and "You are my perfection." required a few rereads on my part to get the stressed/unstressed syllables to match the rhythm of the rest of the poem, but once I did that, the poem flows very smoothly. Also, it's a little bit of a stretch rhyming Dear with care, but overall, this is a wonderfully executed poem. :)

It is so very nice to see you've found your way to this quite warming number, and even more-so that you find such favor in it.
I've addressed the near rhyme for you (thank you, m'lady), and I fully understand your quandary in going from iambic to trochaic in those tow end-line words; for the sake of their meanings being so closely related to my thoughts and feelings, it was decided to leave them as is, knowing a practiced eye would spot them, and you did. ; )
Thank you so humbly and gratefully for reading this one and for your graciously inspiring praise, Karen … big hugs! ⁓ Richard : )
Pure perfection as far as I'm concerned. This poem spoke volumes to my heart. I would love to be able to write with this! Please sign me up for a free class. :)
If you would be see kind to take a look at any one of mine, your comets and suggestions would be greatly appreciated and taken to heart.

What a thoughtfully generous and inspiring review you've left for this tenderly warm piece of romantic verse.
It is regretful the site never notified me you'd left it for my pleasure. : /
Still, I am as grateful for your words as if they were left moments ago. And, yes, I will be most honored to read, review, and offer whatever constructive critique one of your efforts deserves.
A nice way to begin a Sunday... Good morning Richard... hope your day goes well.
