              Always Mine ~

                       Oh, Darling, see how I miss thee...

                       while you've been gone, My Dear.

                       Each starlit night two souls take flight

                       on wings of love sincere.

                       Mine travels far to where You are

                       in search of your sweet touch,

                       and everywhere I look with care

                       for all we've shared so much.

                       Those days bygone still linger on

                       right here within my heart,

                       I know yours, too, has remained true,

                       ne'er are our souls apart.

                       It matters yet, I'll not forget;

                       your tender affection.

                       That moon above knows I'm in-love,

                       You are my perfection.

                       I know I'm less, I must confess,

                       than all you might desire,

                       but hold me tight with all your might,

                       stoke high my burning fire.

                       Be ever glad for all we've had,

                      'tis long our hearts now wed;

                       that yellow rose of ours that grows

                       drank every tear we've shed,

                       and when it blooms, its sweet perfumes

                       caress us once again.

                       Tho, heard it's told not all is gold ...

                       to You I've this refrain:

                     "If all yon stars fell from night skies,

                       the sun and moon both failed to shine ...

                       if every sea and river dries;

                       still, in my heart ~ You're always mine."

There is always a mystique refrain in your longing. Rivers of rhymes splashing on the shore of the heart that longs, hoping to bring her back to your arms.

There is a beautiful and tender breathing of love and adoration with each stanza, kissing the lover with each vow. You write to ignite flames in the hearts of true lovers.

I love the gentleness of the painting that matches these verses perfectly!

The meter, flow and rhyme is lovely as always and as always lends to the meaning within. I found myself thinking that a established relationship such as this is a model for those that are new in their marriages. I felt also that this the kind of stability which is needed in this world. No one has all the answers but choice to love and stay faithful speaks to more than just the loved one.

I like this one a lot! The lines, "your tender affection." and "You are my perfection." required a few rereads on my part to get the stressed/unstressed syllables to match the rhythm of the rest of the poem, but once I did that, the poem flows very smoothly. Also, it's a little bit of a stretch rhyming Dear with care, but overall, this is a wonderfully executed poem. :)

It is so very nice to see you've found your way to this quite warming number, and even more-so that you find such favor in it.
I've addressed the near rhyme for you (thank you, m'lady), and I fully understand your quandary in going from iambic to trochaic in those tow end-line words; for the sake of their meanings being so closely related to my thoughts and feelings, it was decided to leave them as is, knowing a practiced eye would spot them, and you did. ; )
