The Katana … widely recognized as the Samurai Sword.

Japanese sword-making eras:
Jokoto (ancient swords, c1300 B.C–900 A.D.)
Koto (old swords from c900–1596)
Shinto (new swords 1596–1780)
Shinshinto (newer swords 1781–1876)
Gendaito (modern swords 1876–1945)
Shinsakuto (newly made swords 1953–present)

From 1945–1953, sword-making in Japan was banned.

Katana and Cherry Blossoms, two main symbols of Japan, at one time, in one piece... can't I but to adore and fall in love with it?! how brilliantly is to use that photo to Your breathtaking words, yes, they took my breath with the firm powerful sheer brilliance, like this Katana crossed my spirit as the wind, and bloomed each shattering piece of me...

...tempered by fire...Japanese swords always denote strength and honor...one thinks of power and force... but always honor..the Samurai soul...victorious dreams........I love the feel of the words in speaking them aloud. I remember a single croissant and small oj in tokyo cost me 25 dollars... chuckling here. Out in the actual country was an experience in living and acceptance of cultural imperatives.

I always wanted to travel to Japan, up to South Korea … maybe I still shall, and I wonder if that croissant and small oj will cost more today than it did in your time?

I got to thinking one day, Chris, and you should get a giggle out of this: The value of a dollar hasn't really decreased … it's just that everything it will buy requires more of them, because everyone makes more more of them; thus, things and the dollar's value have simply moved along, increasing in a parallel.
