'Bring to Us'
Richard,
Hmm..even though this is a love sonnet it spoke to me of the need within the human soul for what defines us. To care for this world we must be open. This is a transparent and an open heart piece. It speaks to the deepest spring within. In taking this in I found myself encouraged to not give up on this crazy world; it's confusion and it's so called portrayal of what is real. What is real is as old fashioned as a listening ear and a non judgmental attitude and a willingness to hang in there and just be patient.
Blessings,
Kathy

A peaceful offering of a heart that is full of kindness and goodness. Desires, wishes and almost commands to bring and end to misery, and heartbreaks and open the door to a new world that is spledid and gorgeous.
Each couplet makes the reader think: we got to have this, and this, and this too.. For all of us want no more pain, no more hard reality to wake up to, but more love, laughter, happiness.
May we always keep sharing love toward each other! :D

Ha-hahhh (not really funny)!
I cringe at the tales I could tell!
this piece puts me on my knees in a cathedral, tears in my eyes, pain in my heart and hope in my mind, praying solemnly that the afflictions end. that I may see joy once more.
I love where this work of art puts me...I respect the imagery n the choice of words
Hats off to your talent!... thanks for sharing. WRITE ON!

Impressive how you initially used words that gave a depressing feel to the poem which gradually made it to the shore of light and hope. Enjoyed reading it 😃

This has the feel of a dirge and yet a poem of hope. It seems to urge such goodness upon a world not able to fulfill such dreams all of the time. I love the picture it has such power. It has near perfect flow and meter.

It does seems to have a rather somber tone I did not intend, but how true that one's hopes all too often exceed reality … still, the trusting heart can't help believing most really do wish to be kind and sweet to one another.
