Rhyming Couplets in Iambic Pentameter

Oh, speak to me in words that stoke my fires,
those aches inside no other’s voice inspires.

In moments clear, with words I understand;
embrace me in hot rhythms un-preplanned.

Yes, speak to me in ways I’ve never known;
sweet senses high, all of your passions grown.

Then, show me what it’s like, I’m so adored …
there is no place your lips have not explored.

Come soft, caress my cheek and whisper low;
then, hold me warm and close that I will know,

there is no one or place for me on Earth
who touches deeper or with greater mirth,

those special spots I know no other can …
it’s in this way I’ll always ~ be your man.

Richard,
To know and be known is so needed in this world. How much is hidden and not dared revealed. We know what is right and when not. To think that a person may know love and transparency is desired and craved by the human soul. Your poem is the dream which many crave and dare not believe could ever happen for them. This poem speaks of vulnerability and the work to keep and to water the garden of relationship.

You are a master at capturing raw emotions and transporting the reader..perhaps to one's own experiences or memories. I had seen the announcement that this poem won Silver in the Erotica Contest so I had to rush over to your page to check it out and give my own thoughts on it - and I was not in the least bit disappointed.

There is no way I can give a critical review of this poem. The words you have shared are filled with such a deep passion and a yearning to hear them spoken by someone that you hold dear.

Your poetry is very good, for it allows the reader to be drawn into the moment with you - which is very satisfying.
