You stood right here before me, Dear …

shone with the brightest glow,

I was aware that everywhere

our world began to slow.

This timeless space became your grace …

it was right then I knew;

life sparkled fine, like ancient wine,

each sip a taste of You.

Lips softly meet, such flavors sweet,

the universe our world …

in every place I saw your face,

my senses all unfurled.

You smelled of spice, like paradise …

when we touched, hot sparks flew;

’twas then we kissed, a gentle mist

of stardust’s golden hue

fell all around … there was no sound,

except your tender sighs.

You took my hand, then bade me stand,

looked deep into my eyes:

A gentle stroke, each word you spoke,

calmed down my every fear …

with much in-store, I wanted more,

down your cheek rolled a tear.

With care I asked, “Has sorrow passed?”

You smiled and touched my face;

“No, my sweet man, love has began,”

took me in warm embrace,

“as passions grow, my rivers flow,

alluring you to me;

aching pure bliss, I crave your kiss …

yearn our sweet ecstasy.”

Your hem lifted, I was gifted

when you laid softly down.

The spell then broke when I awoke,

“Ahhh, in such dreams I’d drown.”

This poem has put spellbound on me. This poem is the epitome of passion,infinite love, intensity and deep emotions. The way you put life in the words makes my soul lively and mesmerized. I think what you say must be true, Sarah, for it seems so many relate to this rather warm suite of stirring verses.

Another beautifully-crafted & long-flowing message about love & lovemaking, stated in many of the familiar phrases that some cling to, as they would cling to an old established relationship that lasts thru time. I don't mean to dismiss your style, we're just different, that's all. Yours is very well done in your preferred tried & true expressions of love.

Thank you ever-so much for your time taken to read and comment on this ernest effort to compose and please my fellow poets and poetesses as best I may, and I love the praise, of course, as-well, for pointing out how different we are from each other.
I, suppose, this is one of the most important aspects of humanity … otherwise, we would have scant uniqueness to share, appreciate, and learn from one another.
I realize not everyone is going to enjoy my efforts equally, and for whatever amount you have, I am sincerely more grateful than I've words to convey.
There are other genre of poetry on here from my pen you might better take a cotton to, than those of love and romance, if you'v a mind to check any of them out.

A lovely, sensual and very alluring poem Richard. Your way of painting with words is certainly unique and very effective at creating a picture but also a certain flow and feeling to go with the story. Though I may be wrong - people have pointed my mistakes out on a few of my pieces - but the third to last line is five syllables isn't it?
