Wow, Richard..yet another glorious poem that says so much.. Thoughts hidden behind simple words fill the page with love and caring.
I only see strength in your underlying words.. As for me love for another is a true showing of strength.
As I write this review I am going back and read your poem again.. I find by rereading a poem several times I find more hidden meaning..
Love every word..dear Richard.

It's true, I'm but a simple bard with simple words to express the simplicity of my humble thoughts, feelings, emotions, desires, fantasies, and most vividly active imagination … blah-blah-blah!
Yes, Lisa, I agree with you about love, and it is definitely not for sissies.
Thanks for your second read, Lisa Dear, and for loving so much of what my rugged olde pen strokes upon the page … hugs! ⁓ Richard🖌
Nicely penned, I enjoyed this one. I interpreted this as a baby talking to his mother, and it brought sadness at the end.
One of your best, I think. :)

I LOVE how the blue bird to me represents fragility. The people we fall in love with or that are in our inner circle are meant to be treated with this kind of tenderness and true intent. The images here overflow with a loving scent! This piece speaks of true loves trust both ways in a promise for sure. Like a proposal of sorts. Our hearts are tender and a gift to be had and given. A beautiful reminder of what we are truly offering to another as well as recieving when we take. A responsiblility to remember the little blue bird always as the one we first met.
Another amazing piece!! Clap clap clap

I am glad I have read this beautiful craft. That tender love flowing softly throughout the write goes into the heart. I loved the lines, heart and soul are truly fragile things to take into one's own care, all too often misunderstood as weakness. Very very true indeed!
A great write, Richard. Thank you sharing.

Naturally I was drawn to this Title..
I Love anything written about the sweet and gentle bird.
But I know this is not truly about Blue Birds
It is about the long-lasting devotion of Love
Yes, a heart is fragile..to be held gentle-soft
And ever guarded against the slings and arrows of life..
"That love is all there is,
Is all we know of love."

I did enjoy your words..............Jazz

It surprises me not at all that you would love the gentleness of birds, and that your depths are such that you grasp the core essence of my poetry, especially this little verse of trust, love, devotion, and the assurance only affection and genuine care can promise.
I enjoyed your shared "verse of knowing" in review, too.
Thank you for enjoying my words, as that is my only real gratification … warmest grateful hugs to you, Jazz! ~ Richard
