I read the other day that scientists think that the eye is capable of discerning single photons although the signal isnt sufficient to register in the brain but they feel that they will prove one day that the eye can discern quantum states of single photons.
A brave new world indeed.

How appealing the prospect, John, that we are all lovers in our own universes, joining-in equally as intrinsically valid as any other posed theory.
I like the whole concept, and have been practicing it now for many years. ; )
