Dinosaurs, dragons and men

Dinosaurs, dragons and men

And if It wasn't Fantasy?

Dinosaurs, dragons and men by Richard Guimond ©2015

They say that dinosaurs and men never met
So why, around the world, so many dragons
Flying lizards are but universal legends
From China,Viking and Celtic lore, Mesoamerica
They say now that some dinosaurs were feathered
Wheren't Mayan and Aztec right after all
And saw the flight of the Feathered Serpent
Were Quetzaltcoalt and Kukulcan realities?
Which legendary creature may still lurk in the dark?

I think Dinosaurs will come back
Love this evolutionary write
Makes you wonder
Has science got all the answers ?
And why do we willingly ingest all information given without questioning its validity ?

Interesting, and like I always ask..."is it impossible?" Dragons might seem ridiculous to us, yet is it impossible they existed? Reminds me of the movie "the exorcism of emily rose" when her lawyer asks "is it impossible? Demonic possession can't be seen with the eyes, yet is it impossible that it exists?" Personally I don't believe in demonic possession, yet I never claim that it is impossible, for many things, even if we don't believe in them, aren't nnecessarily impossible.

Yes, this certainly speaks to our desire for all the fantasy, romance and mystery of ancient times to be REAL. And not just tales. I, for one, certainly hope so. I believe.
Nice, short poem Richard.

Well we can't argue with any of that at all Richard. It appeals to the primal brain in us giving the reader a thrill seasoned with some fright and curiosity. I enjoyed the mixing of history, culture, education and eloquence. Nice job.
