A Poet PrayerA Poem by Richard GuimondFreedom and creativity over domesticity A Poet Prayer
To great
god Pan, Cernunos, the Horned One Creative Chaos,I
offered my own devotions Not to
tame household Penates grey deities Domesticity
is the chain restricting art creation The slavery
of man spirit shackles to his soul
Oh Bacchus,
give me a cup full of thy wine Oh Muses fill
my heart with your wild arts Because Lord
Apollo put me on a golden path The Archer
gave me a bow to shoot verses Gave me
freedom and freed me from any walls © 2015 Richard GuimondReviews
