StormA Poem by Richard GuimondSummer rain stormStorm
Sat by my window A flash startled me Rumble in the sky Change of air Time to close windows The storm was near Lightning stoke again Solarized my sight Lights flickered Rain hit the roof Gutters became Water saxophone Lights flickered again Everything blacked out Except the flashing window Search for candles As kid and bird screamed Summer flash storm Garden feeding rain Nothing but go to bed To wake up in the morning As the clock flashed 12:00 © 2015 Richard Guimond |
